Al Jazeera: Afghanistan’s neighbours gather in Tehran to discuss its future
Iran says the main goal of the event is to emphasise the call for the formation of an ‘inclusive’ government in Afghanistan.
Tehran, Iran – Senior officials of Afghanistan’s neighbouring states have gathered in Iran’s capital for a one-day conference to discuss the situation in the Taliban-ruled country.
The foreign ministers of Iran, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan met on Wednesday in Tehran, joined by their counterparts from China and Russia via video link.
Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber inaugurated the meeting, replacing President Ebrahim Raisi who was unable to do so due to “another urgent priority”.
The conference came a day after Iran’s online petrol distribution software was hacked in a massive cyberattack that affected petrol stations across the country.

WNU Editor: Since the Taliban takeover of the country 3 million Afghans have fled the country and half of the country is facing hunger (or worse). And what does not help the situation is that the Taliban are clueless on what to do .... “The Taliban don’t know what to do”—Afghanistan’s humanitarian crisis (The Economist).
What is needed to stabilize the situation is to replace the billions in aid that the U.S. and the EU pumped into the country every year when they were there. But I do not see this group giving anywhere near that type of funds to the Taliban.

Let the Stanis starve and die. Leeches. They didn't want to fight for the freedoms the West had given them.....all our spent treasure and blood.
The countries who support the Taliban have to do the work and money funding. They have to keep their responsibility from the beginning to the end.
The reasons for withdrawal are compelling for the USA. Leave Afghanistan’s problems to them and neighbors to resolve.
Leaving chaos and vast loss of life wasn’t compelling just Biden incompetence.
Seriously checking if there's publicly listed rope makers haha, it will be a lot of rope going around soon.
Either by suicides and/or because of the upcoming public trials and executions a la Nuremberg trials. This is no longer a joke.
But whatever we do, we must do it legally (the Nuremberg codes are a good starting point, but it goes much further than that, we are talking about high treason(!), mass murder(!), massive human rights violations(!), corruption is almost not worth mentioning in the context of things) and with moral authority.
Guilt by association is not justified (e.g. Trump or Gates hung out with Epstein, ok, so did many scientists - but that doesn't mean they were all involved in what Epstein was involved in).. so it must be "by the book", as Obama said. And we must be allowed to speak and talk to each other about what's going on.
Anyone who stands opposed to people making informed decisions is an enemy of the people. We are allowed to express ourselves. We have God given rights still, your great reset isn't in place yet. Until 2030 we get to talk, or you break standing laws.
