BBC: Aukus: Australia-EU trade talks delayed as row deepens
Trade talks between Australia and the European Union have been postponed as a row with France over the so-called Aukus security partnership deepens.
Last month, Canberra cancelled a $37bn ($27.5bn) deal with France to build a fleet of conventional submarines.
Instead, it will build at least eight nuclear-powered submarines with US and UK technology.
The decision angered Paris, which called the deal a "stab in the back" by the US and Australia.
In fact, soon after the Aukus agreement was announced, France recalled its ambassadors from both Canberra and Washington.

WNU Editor: It is clear that France wants Australia to pay a price for breaking their submarine contract.

France needs to stop behaving as if it was a child with its candy taken away. It's quite discouraging to see a nations leadership behave in such an infantile way.
Maybe Putin should mediate. He is trained lawyer.
I still think my idea of the US buying a few French subs for the Caribbean is a good idea. Biden and the cabal around him are too greedy to countenance such a thing.
What France is doing is counter productive and will pay for that, not Australia.
