Drone Attack Targets US Troops At US base In Syria

Daily Mail: US base in Syria used to train opposition forces is hit by drone strike and ‘ground fire’ in ‘coordinated attack’ – but officials say no troops were injured or killed 

* The US base in Al-Tanf, Syria, was hit by a coordinated attack on Wednesday 

* The attacked reportedly involved a drone strike and possible groundfire 

* No US troops were injured and it is not clear who carried out the attack 

* The base is used to train local Syrian forces against the Islamic State 

A military outpost in southern Syria was hit by a coordinated attack on Wednesday, but a US official said no American troops stationed there were injured or killed. 

The official said the attack appeared to include at least one drone strike and possibly groundfire at the base in Al-Tanf, Syria. 

It was not yet clear who carried out the attack.
