Facebook Whistleblower Tells All On '60 Minutes'

* Frances Haugen, widely known as the Facebook whistleblower, spoke out publicly for the first time since she anonymously filed complaints with the SEC 

* In a 60 Minutes interview that aired Sunday night, Haugen accused the Facebook of prioritizing its own interests over the public good 

* She also alleged that Facebook allowed the spread of misinformation and contributed to the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol 

* Haugen said: 'Facebook, over and over again, chose to optimize for its own interests, like making more money' 

* She also claimed that the social media network betrayed American democracy 

The former Facebook employee who is responsible for thousands of pages of leaked internal company research has been identified as Frances Haugen. Haugen, a 37-year-old data scientist from Iowa who was widely known as the 'Facebook whistleblower,' spoke out publicly for the first time since she anonymously filed at least eight complaints with federal law enforcement. 

In a 60 Minutes interview that aired Sunday night, Haugen accused the social media network of prioritizing its own interests over the public good and allowing spread of misinformation.
