Everyone is playing at war, but their weapons are much more dangerous than Alec Baldwin’s “safe” firearm. Eventually, some country will make a mistake or they will lull their target into complacency with feints before launching a real attack. There is no restraining power respected anymore. _Alas, Babylon_
I agree, that's a smart comment @751
The world came close to nuclear annihilation several times already thanks to human and mechanical errors
Thankfully there was always enough time for eg a human to verify it was a mechanical or computing error that eg caused an attack alert
With hypersonic missiles this time to correct errors edges towards 0. In a perceived hypersonic missile attack, you have maybe no more humans correcting for machine mistakes.
There's great movies on fully automated warfare, like both versions (old and new) of the "Fail Safe" movies
