* Lt. Colonel Stuart Scheller Jr. is being released from the brig at Camp Lejeune today 

* The military said his lawyers reached an agreement with the Marines 

* He was put in confinement last Monday after posting videos criticizing the withdrawal from Afghanistan 

* Scheller condemned the chaotic effort that killed 13 servicemembers 

* Charges have been filed and he has been released pending court martial 

* He has submitted a request to resign but it has not been accepted 

* His family appealed for the public's help and he received $2million in donations to help with his defense 

Lt. Colonel Stuart Scheller Jr. is being released from military brig today after winning a landslide of public support for his condemnation of the withdrawal from Afghanistan. 

Scheller Jr. was jailed last Monday at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina for repeatedly criticizing the military's chaotic withdrawal from Kabul. 

He was three days from retirement when he was stripped of his post and thrown in the grim confinement quarters to await military trial for contempt.

Note: he was released after insulting trump supporters who raised money for his defence

He seems to be an utter scumbag or they made him write that letter as condition of release

I suspect it is the latter. At least I hope so. I'm pretty sure the leadership class will resort to torture to get what they want.

If this is not the case, then this man is a special kind of stupid. He has no greater allies than former president Trump and his supporters all of whom are ready and willing to lay down their lives for him. When you are in the kind of trouble this man has been in, such an approach is most unwise. The proper approach should be the "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." Then again I'm not sure our military leadership teaches actual warfighting anymore.
