RFE: Putin: Ukraine's Western-Backed Military Development A Threat To Russia
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Ukraine's military development with Western support represents a genuine threat to Moscow.
"Formal membership [of Ukraine] in NATO may not take place, but military development of the territory is already under way," Putin said during a meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club in the Black Sea resort of Sochi.
Relations between NATO and Russia have been tense recently and official contacts have been limited since Moscow occupied Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula in 2014.

If Taiwan wants to live without China, let then
But also
If both of them at a later point want to join Russia or China's club, let them too
You cannot control and should not control people like this
And EU should also not manipulate
In the end, every Ukrainian must be allowed to make their free and informed choice, without threats or coercion by either side is what I'm saying
I would suggest letting all the Tatars forcibly removed from Ukraine by Stalin during WW2 have a say in this. Unfortunately few are alive at this point.
