Business Insider: The US Navy wants a more powerful air wing to give its aircraft carriers an edge against China 

* The US Navy released its vision for the future of naval aviation last week. 

* The report highlighted the threats posed by great power rivals, China in particular. 

* The Navy presented plans for a future air wing that will keep its carriers relevant and lethal. 

The US Navy just released its vision for a future carrier air wing a decade from now to make sure American aircraft carriers can still compete with China. 

The recently released "Navy Aviation Vision 2030-2035" emphasizes the need to win in the great power competition with Russia and especially China, which is rapidly modernizing its military.

I didn't see longer range mentioned in the article. That's usually one of the big things I see brought up in these types of discussions.

Us Navy also has plans to double the fleet size. Taiwan is not worth it.
