WNU editor: From the Daily Mail (link here) ....

.... the U.S. recorded 3,800 daily COVID-19 deaths on Thursday, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

This is the highest figure recorded since September 3, when 3,910 deaths were recorded and America was in the midst of the fourth wave fueled by the Delta variant, a DailyMail.com analysis shows.

The U.S. also recorded 140,875 daily new cases on Thursday with a seven-day rolling average of 101,119, the first time the rolling average has reached six figures since October 6.

Update: It is hard to push back against your critics and blame them when death toll numbers like the one that was recorded yesterday are made public .... Biden, allies increasingly pushing back at GOP’s virus barbs (AP).

It just keeps getting worse. I got it recently and I'm fully vaccinated (no booster though). Although I'm glad I'm vaccinated because my symptoms were a mild (but still crappy) flu. A colleague of mine is fully vaxxed AND got the booster and just tested positive this week.

Hope you recover asap. Smart to have the vaccine. Those not getting it pay the price, both in health and in money.

Sad, but so what thousands normally die everyday.

Just beleive the numbers are skewed due to the thanks giving holiday. look at the week before and they were abnormally low

thousands die every day?
right. But those dying that are here being recorded are unvaccinated. That is what is what is recorded and not those dying of heart failure or cancer. COVID deaths

Sensible answer

Are these deaths "from covid" or "with covid"?
It makes a huge difference in the count. The former will be much lower than the latter.

The huge payout to hospitals for each patient that is treated with the virus makes me doubtful of the accuracy of these numbers. Misdiagnosis anyone?

Approximately 1.35 million people are killed in car accidents each year. That means, on average, fatal crashes cause approximately 3,700 deaths per day. (CDC) An additional 20-50 million people are injured or disabled.Sep 18, 2021

this will seem odd but autos and the deaths they cause at times are central to our economies and schooling and work and fun and vacations and travel...virus we can do without. only a fool would class them together.
