Chief spy William Burns visit for discussions over potential Russian invasion
The head of America’s Central Intelligence Agency, William Burns, met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and representatives of Kiev's intelligence services last week, CNN reported on Monday.
According to the American outlet, Burns’ secret trip had been planned long in advance and was not an emergency meeting based on the current tensions between Ukraine and Russia, which some analysts believe may lead to war.
The meeting between Washington’s chief spook and the Ukrainian president came at the same time as a group of US senators from both the Democratic and Republican parties also visited Kiev.

There use to be debates about whether it was better to have grown up in an industry and have knowledge of technical details to be a good manager or whether a manager could be parachuted into any industry from any other industry.
Burns might be a very good FSO, but would a former case officer be a better pick for a CIA director?
I guess he is better than someone who only c.v. is a JD and political connections.
Burns looks like central casting from the Jason Bourne movies. The pompous, wavy-maned academic. Fearlessly leading the nation into another war. This time with Russia.
