National Security Council spokeswoman Emily Horne said Biden had 'clarified' his comments and Russia's actions would be met by a 'reciprocal response'
* Biden said he is not sure of Vladimir Putin's intentions in Ukraine, and that it may depend 'what side of the bed' he wakes up on
* He said he was 'very concerned' about the situation
* 'I'm not so sure he is certain what he is going to do. My guess is he will move in,' Biden said when asked if Putin would invade
* 'He has never seen sanctions like the ones I promised will be imposed if he moves,' Biden said of Putin
* But he also said: 'It's one thing if it's a minor incursion and we end up having to fight about what to do and not do'
President Joe Biden said Wednesday it would be a 'disaster' for Russia if President Vladimir Putin orders an invasion of neighboring Ukraine – as he said he did not know Putin's intentions but said his counterpart doesn't want a 'full-blown war.'
But the president also said publicly it was unclear what the response would be if Russia did something short of an all-out invasion – requiring the White House to move immediately to clean up his remarks.
'It's one thing if it's a minor incursion and we end up having to fight about what to do and not do, et cetera,' Biden said at a White House press conference where Russia came up repeatedly.

Update #3: Why Biden just suggested Putin will invade Ukraine (Tom Rogan, Washington Examiner)
WNU Editor: It was near midnight in Kiev when President Biden made his "minor incursion" remark. But I know tomorrow morning the Ukraine media and government are going to shit in their pants over these remarks (see tweet below for a sample on what will happen).
And even though the White House is trying to clean up these remarks, the damage has already done.
And as for what the Kremlin is thinking right now .... you can take this to the bank .... they are laughing and rolling their eyes. They see a U.S. President who is threatening Russia with extreme sanctions, while inviting an incursion!
Bottom line. The Kremlin is strategizing on how to take advantage of the situation, and more importantly, what can they extract from US Secretary Blinken when he meets Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov in Switzerland on Friday. And if they do not get what they want, all bets are off when the Olympics in Beijing are over.
CNN: “One Ukrainian official…said that he was ‘shocked that President Biden would give a green light to Vladimir Putin in this way.’”

Putin to Biden: "So, just the tip?"
Case A: Biden fucked up on his own and blurted out something his handlers did not tell him to say.
Case B: Obama, the Chief of Staff, Blinken or some one told Biden to say this. They will blame it on Biden since as everyone knows he is demented and was not too bright to begin with. They will blame it on demented Joe to try to make it go away, while at the same time insisting that Joe s not demented.
It is scary to think that Joe's handlers are that stupid (with them not having a physical mental disease) or that much of a coward.
Biden's fault or handler's fault?
