President Joe Biden tore into former President Donald Trump for watching TV while a mob stormed the Capitol on January 6, mocked his 'bruised ego' and called him the 'defeated former president' in his speech on Thursday in his most searing attack on his predecessor.

WNU Editor: I am surprised that President Biden woke up this early to make his speech. As for the speech itself, I felt that he missed the mark.
As expected he came out strong announcing that "I will stand in the breach. I will defend this nation. And I will allow no one to put a dagger to the throat of American democracy". This was followed with remarks that his predecessor was just "a former president but a defeated former president", spinning a "web of lies", doing "nothing" for hours as the "." on the Capitol went on, wasn't just "a former president but a defeated former president".
Talk about politicizing an event. I expect more of this type of rhetoric going into the midterms later this year and the 2024 Presidential election.
As to the question .... will this speech have an impact?
As I said yesterday. Democrats and their media allies will praise it. Republicans and their media allies will be seething.
As for everyone else.
This is not what Americans are focused on. The electorate is focused mostly on surging inflation and COVID numbers, issues that directly impact most Americans. This political attack on the former President will not resonate with them.

The reaction to Jan 6 is what you get when insulated elites taste a hint of danger and act like they were in a firefight in Fallujah. It says little about what a small number of crazies actually did at the capitol, and more about the fragility of many DC leaders.
Like AOC - who wasn't even in the capitol building - fearing for her life when a man knocked on the door of the room she was in (it was a capitol police officer)...insulated much? Now, it's silly that people claim she lied, that misses the point; the very real fear she felt is totally consistent with how disconnected she is from what constitutes actual danger.
And like Biden claiming he landed "under fire" in Afghanistan. The most privileged class in America is one of its most delusional.
If ever there was an indication that the New World Order is terrified of Trump, this is it. If the NWO begins to arrest Trump & others on fabricated evidence, will the American people fight back or will they go quietly into that dark night? Keep ducking 🙈
