RFE: 'We Have Run Out Of Patience': Lavrov Calls For West To Respond Quickly To Kremlin Demands 

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says Moscow has "run out of patience" with the West and expects a written response to its demands for security guarantees within a week after diplomatic talks with NATO and the United States failed to make headway on the issue amid a buildup of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine. 

Diplomats have offered a dire assessment of a week of high-level diplomacy that included bilateral talks between Washington and Moscow, and separate rounds of discussions with NATO and the the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) against the backdrop of Western concerns that Russia's military buildup on Ukraine's doorstep may be a prelude to an invasion.

WNU Editor: There is no leadership from the White House on this issue. And even less from Europe. I doubt there will be any progress on resolving the current crisis between the West and Russia, and more specifically, on Ukraine.

Biden should hold a late in the day news conference at 1 PM eastern time and use his angry voice at Lavrov. That'll work.

If Russia demands a written answer, then NATO should respond with "No." Short and sweet.

I'm still trying to figure out what exactly the US "national security concerns" are with Ukraine's border. As opposed to the free-for-all going on on the US southern border.

So, no war with Russia over Ukraine's territorial integrity.

/at least until we put some troops on our own border.
