RFE: Russian, Iranian Presidents To Hold Talks In Moscow

The Kremlin says President Vladimir Putin will host his Iranian counterpart, Ebrahim Raisi, in Moscow on January 19, amid negotiations aimed at reviving a landmark nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers.

It will be Raisi's third visit outside Iran -- after Tajikistan and neighboring Turkmenistan -- since he took over the presidency in August, and the first trip by an Iranian president to Russia since 2017.

Moscow and Tehran have strong political, economic, and military ties and are key allies of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in his country's decade-long civil war.

Russia and Iran say to USA and European Union: "Fuck you!"

If NAZI Germany were around today. Putin would discuss alliance with Hitler. Da?

"Moreover, the two countries can obviously cooperate on the issue of energy transit. Just like China, Iran is very concerned about US maritime dominance. Thus, Tehran periodically has ideas to pump its gas through the pipe lines, for example, through Syria or even Russia (if we are talking about the Caspian gas fields).

"While according to local legislation all the infrastructure on the Iran's territory should be owned exclusively by the Iranian state, the pipe lines running through the neighboring countries may well be stretched by Russian companies, which have huge experience in this regard. In so doing, Russian companies will hardly be helping a competitor [i.e. Iran] thanks to the volume and due to the gradual disenchantment with the fairy tales of 'affordable and cheap green energy'. There is enough room in the European gas market for everyone.

"Incentives

"However, in addition to economy and energy, the Iranians are striving to enhance the already close military-political cooperation with Moscow. The Iranian elite comprises various factions with diverse viewpoints (sometimes even diametrically opposed ones).

"However, a consensus exists on certain issues, including the need to develop cooperation with Russia based on the principles, set forth by the Kremlin, of non-interference in internal affairs and opposition to Western attempts to save the unipolar world. Meanwhile, a number of recent developments have only intensified Tehran's desire to cooperate with Moscow.

Why that dude at 1:01 can only copy and paste and not give a little blurb about why he is posting something, give a link makes you wonder WTF their angle is.

"Russian International Affairs Expert Mirzayan: One Way That Russia Can Respond To Western Disregard For Russian Security Needs Is To Upgrade Ties With Iran"

Sure Russia has been beaten on. Most every country has. They were beat on and then they got bigger. At some point you transition from the beatee to the beater. Russia is definitely the latter.

Ever since the Mongol yoke was thrown off, Russia has been the beater Napoleon and Hitler not withstanding. In the runup to the German invasion Russia was beating THE FUCK out of many small nations.

But Wussia is scared. Boogey woogey man is out to get dem!

Putin still checks under his bed.

It is clear to some of us what the copy/paste is all about: why Russia and Iran pals. Your history of the Russian past in fact adds nothing to the post

I see no real distinction between the copy of a few paragraphs and pasting that up than I do with a link that is also copied and pasted.
what is good for the goose is also good for the gooser.

1:41 had to post at 1:41 & 1:43 to look like 2 people?

1:41/1:43 is probably also 1:01 and posted to defend his copy and paste.

Knowing the man (Fred) and his copy & paste method of operation, I looked from whence the pasted material came. It came from MEMRI, which knowing Fred's druthers, I know he hates.
(So I posted the link in case others wanted to see from whence Fred purloined his material)

So it was confusing. But supporting Iran means supporting the Iran deal, which means supporting Biden, Obama and the Democrats.

Iran and Russian supporting one another should be considered bad, since Democrats are against the Russians now. But I assume Fred is hoping we would not notice this inconsistency. Supporting Iran is more proximate.

PS: If you are saber ratting against Germany in spring 1940 and telling them not to invade France would it make sense to sign treaties with Italy causing the Italian economy to boom?

Now replace Germany with Russian and Italy with Iran and consider the logic of it. Well consider it unless logic and number have no meaning to you at all.

ah, Replacement theory tells us what you are all about.
Note the Iran treaty favored by non Trump leaders was to prevent a nuke from being developed and thus to give substantial justification for bombing their site if in violation of that treaty. Without a treaty, Iran has every right to manufacture a bomb and other nations would be aggressors should they then bomb Iran.
coy and pasting a free item is hardly "purloining"

What a god damn troll. The discussion thread was about nations not about race. Here is a tip. My kids are counted as minorities by the Census Bureau.

Without a treaty, Iran has every right to manufacture a bomb. TRUE

Without a treaty, the US has to sanction any nation that is bellicose and is building or has built bombs. ALSO TRUE

Pro Tip: Prez on the Low Down (aka Obama) never submitted the proposed treaty to the Senate for ratification. So there never was a treaty between Iran and the US in 2015. Maybe you do not know that, because you are a stoopid.

Pissant
it was not a treaty but an agreement. now you know you can go back to mommy and whine while nappies get changed

Look. We all know this is true: Liberalism is a form of mental illness. F. is a good example.
