US Secretary of State Antony Blinken Blinken Refuses To Rule Out U.S. Military Involvement In Ukraine. Says 'A Single Additional Russian Force' Entering Ukraine Would Trigger A US Response

Daily Mail: Secretary of State Blinken refuses to rule out U.S. military involvement in Ukraine and warns of 'massive consequences' for Russia if it invades: Rejects calls to impose immediate sanctions because it would 'undercut deterrence'

* Blinken did a Sunday news show blitz after a week of negotiations in Europe

* He ruled out sanctioning Russia before it ran afoul of the West's warnings despite Ukrainian officials claiming economic penalties after an invasion are useless

* The US's chief diplomat also wouldn't say if Kyiv was safe in the short term

* Talks between him and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Geneva on Friday saw no breakthroughs but both sides agreed to keep talking

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said it's possible Kremlin officials are just 'going through the motions' of diplomacy on Sunday after a week of intense international talks aimed at de-escalating Russian aggression on Ukraine's border.

Even after meeting with his Russian counterpart, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in Geneva on Friday, Blinken admitted on NBC's Meet The Press that Moscow could still invade the smaller former Soviet state despite the efforts of Western governments.

The US's chief diplomat also would not rule out possible American military involvement in the worsening conflict, during a separate interview on CNN's State of the Union Sunday.

WNU Editor: Asked on CNN if US service members could become involved in a conflict in Ukraine, Secretary of State Blinken says NATO is continuing to build up its "defensive capacities" (in other words he doesn't rule it out.

What's my take.

Direct U.S. military involvement in Ukraine against Russian military forces in the event of a Russian military incursion will quickly escalate into World War III.

I'll take "empty things you have to say as SecState" for 500, Alex.

Does Blinken even understand what a war in eastern Europe against Russia entails? If he did he wouldn't be making these casual statements about US operations as if it was like sending tomahawks against a Syrian air field or drone strikes against a jihadist group.

The current US Democrat government is fraudulent and should be overthrown while there is still time to do so. However they likely will use a war with Russia as a pretext to declare martial law and suspend the 2022 elections--certainly the 2024 elections.
