Will Russia ‘Be Able To Prevail Over Time’ If It Invades Ukraine? President Biden Thinks So

Joe Biden also expressed fears Putin had talked himself into a corner and could be forced to "move in" to Ukraine. Kremlin.ru

NYPost: Biden admits Russia ‘will be able to prevail over time’ if it invades Ukraine

President Biden blundered during his White House news conference Wednesday by saying that Russia’s military “will be able to prevail over time” if it launches an invasion of Ukraine — moments after suggesting that a “minor incursion” by Moscow on Kiev’s territory may see a less severe response from Washington and its NATO allies.

Biden began by vowing that “Russia will be held accountable” if it launches an attack against Ukraine, but then hedged by saying: “It depends on what it does.”

“It’s one thing if it’s a minor incursion, and then we end up having a fight about what to do and what not do, etc.,” the president went on. “But if they actually do what they’re capable of doing with the force they’ve massed on the border, it is going to be a disaster for Russia.”

“I’ve already shipped over $600 million worth of sophisticated equipment, defensive equipment to the Ukrainians,” Biden said moments later. “The cost of going into Ukraine in terms of the physical loss of life for the Russians — and they’ll, they’ll be able to prevail over time, but it’s going to be heavy. It’s going to be real. It’s going to be consequential.”

WNU Editor: Russia has experienced invasions, revolutions, gulags, unbelievable economic hardships, and mass murder in just the past century. If the Kremlin should decide that invading Ukraine will be necessary because of national security reasons, most if not all Russians will accept the 20 years of economic sanctions and being ostracized that it will cause. But they will do so because they know that in the end they will prevail.

This is something that many in the U.S. and Europe are miscalculating right now. When Putin says this is my red line .... it is his red line. It is not open to negotiation, and there will be very real consequences if they are not addressed.

President Biden can warn and threaten all that he wants. His administration can warn and threaten all that they want .... US official threatens Russia with ‘sharp pain’ inflicted ‘very fast’ (RT). But the Kremlin is no longer listening. They want something tangible from the West, and they expect something from US Secretary Blinken when he meets Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov in Switzerland this Friday.

Worse case the amphip ship mean Putin wants Odessa now.

Best case the amphib ship are meant to merely be a force inbeing to spread out Ukrainian forces and they do not

Figure the ship are not going at flank due to wear and tear and navigation hazards. Plus it is too difficult in the Dardenelles, the Gibraltar Straights, and around Sicily.

24 knots is a good speed. Just a guess, They will be at Crime in 5 to 7 days. It would take a day to load. Maybe they would want to do some amphip exercises. That would take longer.

Funny but people said 75,000 was to few to invade, Then they said 95,000 was too few. Now we are up to 100,000.

So here is the question. When the ship show up will more troops suddenly show up on the part of the board?

The weapons sent help. How long will it take to integrate them?

"most if not all Russians will accept the 20 years of economic sanctions and being ostracized that it will cause."

Well since you clearly speak for ALL of Russia, I'm sure they'll be delighted to know that 20 years of hardship is just dandy!

Coincidences in politics?

Mystery as FBI agents descend on Rep. Henry Cuellar's mansion in an 'ongoing investigation': Texas Democrat who slammed Biden and Harris over border chaos says he will 'fully cooperate'

Hard to fight 2 wars at once. The Cabal with the Biden front man has decided to fight the near enemy and mostly ignore the far enemy.

11:20 has a good point. I know a baby boomer commie. They are nothing like what followed them. WNU should not assume that the younger generations than his are as tough or as tough in the same ways.

You would first have to establish that western sanctions would cause that level of hardship in Russia, which is highly doubtful to begin with. But for Russia it is still preferable to being surrounded by NATO states on it's borders. I've no doubt the US would react in the same way in a parallel universe where the Soviets won and were expanding a defensive alliance into the Americas

You're the person who would wonder why we have 5 fingers on each hand, not to mention the sun always seems to rise in the east.

Wasn't that long ago WNU was insisting there was no way Russia would invade Ukraine because the Russian people wouldn't put up with it. Now it seems WNU has acknowledged its the most likely scenario with the Russian people willing to sacrifice for 20 years for it. Quite a big change.
