"Responding to a plea from one of Ukraine's officials, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said Saturday that the satellite internet system operated by SpaceX is now available for Ukrainans to use as they attempt to hold off a Russian invasion.

With Ukraine's internet service disrupted by the invasion, Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine’s vice prime minister, sent a public plea for help to Musk through social media platform Twitter.

“@elonmusk, while you try to colonize Mars — Russia try to occupy Ukraine! While your rockets successfully land from space — Russian rockets attack Ukrainian civil people!" Fedorov tweeted.

Musk replied on Twitter that the system, known as Starlink, had been made available.

"Starlink service is now active in Ukraine. More terminals en route," Musk tweeted. He did not give details on how the Starlink terminals would be transported to Ukraine. The Starlink terminals are needed to use the service.

The Starlink system is SpaceX's plan to send thousands of satellites into orbit to create an internet-service constellation as an alternative to remote land-based systems."

I'm praying for you and your family and friends during this VERY difficult time now and always. Someday probably sooner rather than later my homeland in America is going to be facing a relentless military bombardment by an intractable enemy much as Ukraine is facing.

God willing we'll have the support Ukraine is having. Of course a wealthy benefactor like Elon Musk would be nice too!! He's taken a breathtaking risk for him and his family!! I'd be curious to know what his body guards think about this. He's a smart man and it seems he's bet on Ukraine. Should Russia win they have both the means and the ability to "look up" and "eliminate " the opposition. Mr. Musk would no doubt be at the top of this list.

A non threatening Ukraine looks like a massive overreach to invade. This chump was an irritant that threatened no one and NATO eanted nothing to do with. Putin and his team seem psychological insane here or there's something WAY beyond NATO.

Did America invent a super weapon? Unlikely as our "woke" science is WAY behind the curve. But we do have Elon Musk who supports the corrupt Ukrainian chump.

Maybe Ukraine holds something if great value. Of course if this were so Putin and his operatives would've taken it mong ago. After all Forbes correctly ranked Putin as either the first or second most powerful person on earth depending upon which issue we consult. Elon Musk and his family couldn't hope r9 survive a focused assault from Putin and Russia


For some reason he feels emboldened or perhaps it's more primal. He may be in on our government's corrupt dealings in Ukraine and is willing to fight to the death rather than surrender!! The rest of us age expandable if this is true.

By "chump" this means the corrupt government. Of course Ukrainian government corruption is likeky a mere piker compared to America as our government is likeky by far and away the most corrupt on earth. It's hard to imagine any more corrupt than ours.

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — The Kremlin says a Russian delegation has arrived in the Belarusian city of Homel for talks with Ukrainian officials.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the delegation includes military officials and diplomats. “The Russian delegation is ready for talks, and we are now waiting for the Ukrainians,” Peskov said.

There was no immediate comment from Ukrainian officials, who previously expressed their own readiness for peace talks with Russia but haven’t mentioned any specific details on their location and timing.

Russian invaded Ukraine on Thursday, and its troops are closing in on the capital, Kyiv, and making significant gains along the country’s coast.

A Ukrainian official said street fighting broke out in Ukraine’s second-largest city, Kharkiv, on Sunday following a wave of attacks elsewhere targeting airfields and fuel facilities that appeared to mark a new phase of the invasion.
