CNBC: Biden has been presented with options for massive cyberattacks against Russia
The options presented include disrupting the internet across Russia, shutting off power and stopping trains in their tracks.
President Joe Biden has been presented with a menu of options for the U.S. to carry out massive cyberattacks designed to disrupt Russia’s ability to sustain its military operations in Ukraine, four people familiar with the deliberations tell NBC News.
Two U.S. intelligence officials, one Western intelligence official and another person briefed on the matter say no final decisions have been made, but they say U.S. intelligence and military cyber warriors are proposing the use of American cyberweapons on a scale never before contemplated.
Among the options: disrupting internet connectivity across Russia, shutting off electric power, and tampering with railroad switches to hamper Russia’s ability to resupply its forces, three of the sources said.
“You could do everything from slow the trains down to have them fall off the tracks,” one person briefed on the matter said.

WNU Editor: This is not a good idea. A U.S. cyber attack in the current environment will be viewed by the Kremlin as an act of war. They will retaliate.

This was debunked.
Biden will launch cyber attacks. Okay, great.
//Good thing for us that Biden handed Putin the list of 16 sites that under no circumstances should be attacked.
And then if Russia does go ahead and attacks our power grid, what then?
Now we have the typical pattern of escalation that this time could lead to nuclear war.
Russia already hit our power grid. Remember Colonial Pipeline?
Russia has borrowed a technique form their ancient enemies the Ottoman Turks. At the end of a campaign the Turks would sign a peace treaty and mean if for a year or two. But the Ottomans knew that the Turcopoles or other small Turkish tribes would keep raiding and bleeding their enemy. Those turcopoles were not signatories.
There are so many hacker groups that somehow the government whose territory they reside in cannot track them down unless a lot of heat is brought down.

A NCULEAR WAR IS ABOUT AS GOOD AS WE CAN GET CONSIDERING THE LEADERSHIT OF THE COUNTRY
Definitely not a good idea at this point. Russia has some pretty good cyber warriors, too. What goes around can easily come around.
I'm not talking about inconveniences with a pipe line. I'm talking about a weeks long regional or national blackout.
