TASS: Russia has not yet given US its reaction to American response on security, says Kremlin

Currently, the response is being prepared, Dmitry Peskov informed

MOSCOW, February 1. /TASS/. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has not confirmed information from the US Department of State that Moscow had submitted its reaction to American proposals on security to Washington. According to him, Russia shared with the US some ideas on a different subject.

"No, there was a mix-up. Those were different ideas on a slightly different issue. For the time being, the Russian Federation’s fundamental response on, perhaps, the main issue nowadays has not been submitted.

Currently, this response is being prepared and there was simply a mix-up," the Kremlin official told journalists on Tuesday in response to a question by TASS.

WNU Editor: It was the US State Department that said it had received a written response from the Kremlin on its security proposals. It looks like there is some confusion at the State Department.

Lavrov and Blinken are scheduled to have a telephone call later today.

"It looks like there is some confusion at the State Department". Only in the State Department?. It seems that Biden is contagious.

This whole schtick is about making Crimea officially Russia.

Putin does not want rest of Ukraine and associated headaches.

I do not know Jim. Kharkhiv was the 3rd largest city in the USSR at the start of WW2. I think that is correct. Kharkhiv is the 2nd largest in Ukraine. If it were part of modern Russian it would be the 5th largest city. So it is a prize.

If Kharkhiv were part of Russia it might move up in rank. It might be more productive. On the flip side Kharkhiv might be less productive now due to Russian interference.

Part of the reason Ukraine is not as rich as it could be, is because it is an end point and not a way point. Ukraine needs to trade with Russia. Like wise Russia needs it trade with Ukraine. However Russia has more reserves and it can withhold trade.

There is nothing special about Ukraine and corruption or wealth. Ukrainians are not different than Poles. Poland is lucky because it sits on the Baltic and it site next to German and Sweden. Ukraine sits next to Belarus and Turkey.

All the while China has its Belt and Road initiative, Germany, France and Britain had no belt and Road initiative to go into Romania, Bulgaria or Ukraine.

There is a lot of corruption in Britain, Germany and France, but it id not the problem it is with Ukraine, because they are richer. If Germany became poorer the grifters would not take less. they would try to keep their standard of living up. Their exactations would be more noticeable and more deleterious.
