WNU Editor: This massive convoy showing up like this for the entire world to see tells me that after three to four days of operations the Russian military is no longer concerned about Ukraine's air-force, nor its artillery.

That's about 50 miles north of Kiev. If the Ukrainians have all those anti-tank manpads NATO has promised them, now is the time to use them.

While verbal unity appears good, who can say what's really happen? Western Europe needs Russian goodwill. Are the wholly incapable Americans going to somehow step in.

The Euros obviously know this. Yet they continue to rally around Ukraine.

Or it suggests the firing of Valery Gerasimov is true, Putin is furious and demanded everything goes now. And that those leaked documents that showed Russia could afford and resource 10days of Full War may have been true. If reports are true landing ships are heading to the coast where they will either be Successful and form a bridgehead or Putin will drown 7000 more Russians for his cause.

You have the beginning of voices and dissent from military figures in Belarus. Kazakhstan refusing to tow the line, join the fight and recognize break away regions.

All that is guaranteed is many more people are going to die for Putin's ambition. Many more people are going to be jailed and imprisoned for speaking out.

Putin had his very own Mein Kampf ready to go and was indeed briefly published across multiple Russian news channels. He promised all those men Salt and Bread, but now they are dead.

The sanctions haven’t touched the energy sector and oil is hovering near or at 100USD. Russia will survive. Underestimating the Russian ability to tolerate food lines, consumer goods made by people the government pretends to pay so they pretend to care, is a mistake. They’ve been there, done that, have the t shirt and didn’t try to overthrow the government because life is better that death/prison without trial/taking a train to Siberia.

Don’t believe Russia will go nuclear over Ukraine. Ask me if they employ real chemical weapons like nerve agent and I may have a different opinion. Putin is a lot of things but don’t think he believes in suicide, personal or National.
Just think he’s going to make Kyiv look like Allepo, or Dresden. What’s the West going to do sanction him and throw Russia out of SWIFT?

The units employed so far are second string, a BTG a with an air defense slice that employs OSA/SA8 Gecko isn’t the NY Yankees, they’re a triple A team at best. Yes, the logistician that planned the support should be fired, and they definitely need to practice air-Ground integration but they have sheer mass and that works every time. There is no grading when you’re tagged as a international gangster and murderer, so once you cross the line it really doesn’t matter how much death and destruction you cause as long as you don’t commit the nuclear version of suicide by cop.

I fear for the Ukrainian people, especially the children. To the folks defending Ukraine, God Bless and remember to aim before you pull the trigger, keep moving, and have a secondary weapon. Handgun, E-Tool…something, the building to building stuff is close work, sometimes you’re mag runs dry at the most inopportune moments.
