New York Post: ‘I need ammunition, not a ride’: Zelensky declines US evacuation offer
The US government offered to evacuate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky from Kyiv — but he declined.
“The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride,” Zelensky said, The Associated Press reported, citing a senior American intelligence official with direct knowledge of the conversation.
Zelensky, 44, instead chose to remain in Ukraine’s capital as Russian forces brought the fight to the city streets, where gunfire and explosions were heard overnight Friday into Saturday.

WNU Editor: U.S. intelligence has no doubts on how this war is going to end. So they are seeing it from a military point of view and they want ot minimize the loss of life and position the U.S. on a post-war Ukraine.
Zelensky is seeing this from a Ukrainian internal political view, as well as a personal war between him and Putin. It will be completely against his character to flee the capital and country right now. Like Putin. He is totally committed right now to win this war regardless on what it will cost.

He is a leader and this is his position. If fellow citizens fight till all is lost, then that is a nation doing what it does and not just one man taking his position.
Let's see if Zelensky is willing to die for Ukraine.

PARIS, Feb 26 (Reuters) - A decision to cut Russia off from the global SWIFT payment system will be taken in a matter of days, the governor of a central bank within the euro zone told Reuters on Saturday.
"SWIFT is just a matter of time, very short time, days," the central bank governor, who asked not to be named, said.
"Is it sufficient? No. Is it necessary? Absolutely. Sanctions only make sense if there are costs for both sides and this will be costly," the central banker added.

I've seen now many interviews with Ukrainian politicians who on live feed hold up their arms and declare their willingness to fight, and if necessary die. And they don't seem to be the kind who put up a show.. they mean it.
I think this war will last longer than Russia wants.
I think it was strategic to let Russians move in quickly and not put up a big fight in the outskirts or country side, where Ukrainian forces would typically lose

And from history we know that these kind of wars are near impossible to win.

Germany will send 1,000 anti-tank weapons and 500 Stinger missiles to Ukraine, marking a complete reversal in Berlin's restrictive arms export policy, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced Saturday.
Why it matters: Germany has for months come under intense criticism for its response to Russia's aggression toward Ukraine. The government said its "historical responsibilities" prevented it from shipping arms to conflict zones, and had previously blocked other NATO allies from transferring German-origin weapons to Ukraine.
What they're saying: "The Russian attack marks a turning point. It is our duty to do our best to help Ukraine defend against the invading army of Putin. That's why we're supplying 1,000 anti-tank weapons and 500 stinger missiles to our friends in the Ukraine," Scholz tweeted.
