Ukraine Refugees Crisis Continues To Worsen

BBC: Ukraine crisis: How many refugees and where might they go?

More than 800,000 civilians have fled Ukraine, according to the UN.

The European Union (EU) estimates that up to four million people may try to leave the country because of the Russian invasion.

The bloc has relaxed its rules on refugees and says its member states will welcome the refugees with "open arms".

WNU Editor: A good friend who works at the UN told me this afternoon they think there will be 5 million refugees this month, and maybe 2 to 3 million more refugees if the war continues for a few more months.

I live in Montreal, and we are getting ready to house a few thousand refugees, but I think we need to up this number.

The shocking thing about this refugee crisis is that almost all of the refugees are women and children. There are no men.

"The shocking thing about this refugee crisis is that almost all of the refugees are women and children. There are no men."

This is the opposite of the Syrian refugees, where most of the refugees were abled bodied, fighting age men.

You know what I never ever want to hear again?
Why did Germans not kill Hitler...

WHY THE FUCK ARE RUSSIANS NOT KILLING PUTIN??

The Germans tried. They failed. One time bomb components froze as Hitler's airplane rose to altitude. Hitler was exceedingly lucky with 40+ assassination attempts. He felt invincible, so he did not question his own judgment It made him arrogant.

Is Putin arrogant? Does he sniff his own farts and call it fragrant.

Friendly reminder that Putin's approval rating went up 10% this week fella.

George H. W Bush's poll were high after Desert Storm. Seventeen months later his poll rating was under 30%.

"Bush's approval rating in a Gallup poll conducted from February into March 1991, shortly after Iraq's military forces were ousted from Kuwait, stood at 89 percent.

A Gallup poll conducted from July into August 1992, months before his re-election bid, showed Bush's approval rating at just 29 percent."

Martial Law in Ukraine. Men up to age 60 are not permitted to leave the country. It’s being enforced. Get a rifle or start digging fighting positions. …and most aren’t trying to sneak out. They’re going to fight. Lose probably but they will be destroying Russia indirectly. The Ukrainian refusal to give up easily will haunt Russia for generations.
Putin has United NATO, probably driven Sweden and Finland into NATO, and even gotten JAPAN (!) to bring up the topic of hosting nuclear weapons on their soil. When the Russians are back in the breadlines of the post ww2 Cold War period and shopping in Soviet era stores maybe they’ll learn a lesson.

See the note about folks in Moscow replacing subway route placards with Kyiv subway maps? The Google Pay / Three credit card/ connected to the ‘net half the day generation isn’t going to tolerate living their parent’s Soviet style existence. Russia May end up with more casualties in Moscow than Ukraine.

Why are there these refugee flows? Because of a damn fool

Biden Abandons Israeli Pipeline In Favor Of Russian Gas Via Ukraine
"President Biden is withdrawing U.S. support for the EastMed pipeline that would bring natural gas from Israel to the European continent. "

Published 1/26/2022

Russian invasion started 2/22/2022.

So 27 days after Joe the Fool Biden withdraws US support from the AUE/Israel Pipeline, no doubt due to anti-Israel sentiment in his administration, Putin invades. If Putin is the father of the invasion, Joe Biden midwifed it or birthed it.
