White House Is Projecting 100 Million US Covid-19 Infections During Fall And Winter 2022

Daily Mail: White House projects 100 MILLION COVID-19 infections during fall and winter 2022 as experts believe virus will continue to dominate life through rest of the year: Covid cases rising once again - up 25% over last week 

* The White House projects that 100 million COVID-19 infections will occur during the upcoming fall and winter months, CNN reports 

* The total would dwarf the record 40 million Covid cases recording in the U.S. from September 2021 to February 2022 

* Cases around America are already rising, up 25% over the past week, as new versions of the Omicron variant begin to spread around the world 

* The White House is asking for more funding to purchase vaccines, Covid tests and to pay for medical treatment for infected Americans 

Covid cases are on the rise once again in the United States, and top officials are warning that the virus is not going anywhere soon - with most-recent projections showing it could cause up to 100 million new infections during the latter stages of 2022. 

A senior official in the Biden administration told CNN that the White House is currently projecting around 100 million infections of the virus to occur during the upcoming fall and winter months - a time of the year where new case records have been set during both years of the pandemic.
