It’s become routine since Russia invaded Ukraine: President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy speak by phone whenever the U.S. announces a new package of military assistance for Kyiv.
But a phone call between the two leaders in June played out differently from previous ones, according to four people familiar with the call. Biden had barely finished telling Zelenskyy he’d just greenlighted another $1 billion in U.S. military assistance for Ukraine when Zelenskyy started listing all the additional help he needed and wasn’t getting. Biden lost his temper, the people familiar with the call said. The American people were being quite generous, and his administration and the U.S. military were working hard to help Ukraine, he said, raising his voice, and Zelenskyy could show a little more gratitude.

This war is one black hole for all those who get involved.
For the people in Ukraine this is a disaster that can only be compared to what happened in the Second World War.
For Russia it is a black hole in blood and treasure and the end of relations with the West for the next few decades.
And for the West. I have already lost count on how much military/economic/and financial aid the West has given to Ukraine. I have even lost count on how much aid I have given to strangers, friends and family members from Ukraine who have either fled and/or are still remaining in the country.
And it is going to get worse.
I project that for every dollar that has been spent in 2022 because of this war, it is going to be 3X in 2023. Maybe more. And that does not include the economic costs from russian sanctions for both Russia and the West.
Will the West continue to support that type of commitment?
We shall see.

I've seen it, the shorter edit that you apparently are talking about, and a 10 mins video that shows nothing else that troop movement that becomes under arty fire and a road accident were the driver couldn't see the road because of people sitting on top the APC.

1,000 Russians did not die in that vehicle flipping video. However it is believable that 100 artillery strikes could easily rack up 1,000 kills. Most casualties in war are the result of artillery. There are studies. You should read a few.
Unlike the Russians with their saturation artillery strikes, the Ukrainians wait for targets of opportunity like troop concentrations. As judicious as they are with their ammo, they still have to ask the Americans for more. As profligate as the Russians are, they have to buy North Korean ammo as they cannot produce enough by themselves.

It's not like Afghanistan where the U.S investment was flushed down the toilet . The ukranians have proven themselves as a tenacious fighting force, able to apply there nato training in the field. They were let down by the Bucharest memorandum and had rhe nato carrot dangled ever since.
Ukraine is doing the United States heavy lifting on their behalf and a Russia that is so weakened as a result will allow the u.s to apply its foreign policies far more easily for the decade ahead.
