The Cradle: ‘US has no plans to withdraw from Syria or end sanctions’: Official
Despite claiming its presence in Syria is solely to fight ISIS, US forces instead maintain regime change policies against Damascus and illegally loot the country’s oil
The Coordinator of Strategic Communications for Washington’s National Security Council, John Kirby, said on 28 October that the US has no plans to either ease the Caesar Act sanctions against Syria or to withdraw its illegally occupying forces from the country.
The Caesar Act, passed by Congress in 2019, imposes harsh sanctions against Syria and targets any state, business, or individual involved with the Damascus government. Can't believe and imperialistic power would partition off a sections of another sovereign country militarily and claim to be doing it for the good of the local population. Truly sickening stuff.

* I bet the Kurds love the Americans being there.
It gives them the chance to have their own country and no be subjected to the Arab boot.
Is 5:13 against Kurdish self determination?
The Assad Regime has been plotting and colluding with the enemies of America since the 1980s. Syria is not a country. It is a fiefdom run by a royal family, the Assads.
Thats funny. if you think the US is doing this to help the Kurds your understanding of the political-econ-strategy .in the mid east is very limited.
Yes Assad is a vicious monster and that is why we jap him as an ally during gilf war 1
Gulf War 1 was prosecuted by Country club politician George H. W. Bush. Bush wanted as many Arab countries onboard as possible, so he overlooked things. Or maybe having Syrian on board was the price for the participation by other Arab countries.
Syria's entry on the allied side was simply not to become a target and acknowledging what way the wind was blowing. Both Syria and Iraq were ran by Baathist Parties. Assad's stab in the back of an ally was opportunistic and not personal.
Syria was an ally in Gulf War 1 in a vein similar to the US and USSR being allies in WW2. We are not speaking of true allies.
