Zero Hedge: AP Fires Reporter Who Risked Triggering WWIII With Polish Missile Misinformation
Five days after the Associated Press cited an anonymous 'senior US intelligence official' in a story that claimed a Russian missile killed two Polish civilians, one of the two reporters behind the story was fired.
Reporters James LaPorta (fired) and John Leichester (not fired) share the byline on the now-retracted report, which sparked an entire news cycle that included talk of invoking 'Article 5' - the mutual defense agreement between NATO members - and which would have obligated other members to engage in collective defense, aka WWIII.
As the day went on, President Biden popped out of a NATO / G7 briefing, and mumbled that "it's unlikely" the projectile was fired from Russia. NATO then chimed in, saying it was more likely that the missile was fired by Ukrainian forces in self-defense (or was it?).

WNU Editor: The AP is the world's largest news wire service. What they report is important. I do not think this former AP reporter really understands how his "false" report almost put the world on the brink of a nuclear crisis. I also have to wonder what were his editor's were thinking. They must have approved this report.
One final note. Who was the anonymous US intelligence official who fed this AP reporter this false information? I would like to know who that person is.

Does it matter?
With so many bad intel officials, it would be easier to list the good ones.
There were 51 former and current intel official, who said Hunter's laptop was Russian disinformation. the purpose of stating the 51 bad apples is to again wonder if there are any good ones. By good ones I mean competent at their job and honest to the American people. I would expect them to be dishonest to the enemy of need be.
Will the DOJ, a Democrat lame duck House of representatives or a Democrat Senate hold hearings to look into the matter?
Or would that be to embarrassing for the Democrat Establishment.
Yes it matters.
If that anonymous source didn't exist, it underlines the issue of these "anonymous sources" the mainstream media relies on so much even more.. it nearly killed us all!
And the editors must be fired - they have to give their ok. They want this story to go away. But it's such an example of the reckless mainstream media that never gets held to account, but wishes everyone else to give up their freedom of speech and ability to make errors.
They claim they have such standards.
They don't.
They report on what you pay for.
News is like Ads, just they pretend not to be in the same business.
This is what you get when journalists and private citizens have been brainwashed to believe they are also belligerents in this conflict themselves. Fighting in the information space.
Ethics and rationality go out the window because we need to win!
A reporter reports. the paper or magazine or tv show that uses its material has someone, ie editor, who asks questions about a piece that is to be published, ie: where did you get that material from? Is that source reliable? Have you checked other sources? If not sufficient data about the story the editors and not the report are where the buck stops, as Harry Truman said. But of course fire an underling.
It is too bad the craven Connecticut Yellow-bellied Sap Sucker does not sign his pathetic groveling defense of the Democrat Party establishment in any more.
2:12 is the craven Connecticut Yellow-bellied Sap Sucker
I’ve seen what’s on Hunter Biden’s laptop. Why hasn’t the rest of Ame…
Does the anonymous source even exist apart from some reporter’s imagination?
CBS FINALLY admits Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop IS REAL
CBS finally admits the truth. It will take some PhD's much longer. Edumacation can inoculate the feeble minded against the truth.
Talk about a scape goat , like his story would triggered article 5 🤣
Good God Fred Lapides did not read the material he linked.
Gabriel Gatehouse writes that the Hunter's Laptop is real.
"What does it all add up to? The laptop is a fascinating insight into how money is made at the top, at the intersection of politics and business. Many American voters may find what it reveals distasteful."
I have big problem with that. Hunter and Joe Biden got away and are getting away with what a normal American general schedule (GS) employee could not.
Maybe that is not a problem for an high and mighty academic. It is a problem for any US government employees, who ever filled out an OGE 450. It violates the 14th amendment. Maybe many academics do not care about the 14th amendment or any of the amendments. In such a case there is no point debating r discussing such issues with such fair and open minded academics. You will never convince them.
This was the same guy reporting Russian military strength is weak and the russians have lost 5000 tanks..
The Russians have lost 1,503 tanks per Oryx blog. That list is probably dated.
Russia has probably lost 2,000 tanks and have about 2,000 in theater.
The ratio between Ukrainian and Russian tanks is not as bad as in February. The Russians have generously donated some of their tanks to the Ukrainians.
If The Ukrainians take the rest of Kherson oblast and the Russians do not take it back in 30 days, you know their tan force is hurting.
tank* force
gravity is real. have you seen it?
no one doubts that the laptop is real. What it has in it; who put what there; what it says--none of that has as yet been shown and authenticated. If you claim to know what it says and who says it please tell us how you know
Insider and several other news organizations have identified 75 members of Congress who've recently failed to properly report their financial trades as mandated by the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act of 2012, also known as the STOCK Act.
Congress passed the law a decade ago to combat insider trading and conflicts of interest among their own members and force lawmakers to be more transparent about their personal financial dealings. A key provision of the law mandates that lawmakers publicly — and quickly — disclose any stock trade made by themselves, a spouse, or a dependent child.
But many members of Congress have not fully complied with the law. They offer excuses including ignorance of the law, clerical errors, and mistakes by an accountant. Insider has chronicled this widespread nature of this phenomenon in "Conflicted Congress," an ongoing reporting project initially published in December.
While lawmakers who violate the STOCK Act face a fine, the penalty is usually small — $200 is the standard amount — or waived by House or Senate ethics officials. Ethics watchdogs and even some members of Congress have called for stricter penalties or even a ban on federal lawmakers from trading individual stocks.

So if someone else does something wrong that gives Joe Biden the right to do something wrong?
So if a congressman does something wrong that gives a more important person like a president the right to do something wrong?
I bet PhDs from the Philosophy Department gave the screaming _____ from the _______ department a wide berth.
We used to wonder why kids came out of college more stupid than they went in. We wonder no longer.
Test Hunter

Paranoia runs deep

I saw a post disappear.
You cannot use a a word similar to slattern and hunter in the same post or use an alternative for slattern.
Teacher would like us to use regular language instead of gutter talk. I guess that is your regular language. What a quandry for you, dear boy.
Fill the prescription. Do it for your family.
Vile monkey.
