BBC: Ukraine war: 10 million without power after Russian strikes
President Volodymyr Zelensky has said 10 million Ukrainians are without power after a fresh wave of missile strikes by Russia.
At least seven people were killed in the strikes, with the number expected to rise.
"We are doing everything to normalize the supply," Mr Zelensky said in his nightly address.
Ukraine's air defence managed to shoot down six cruise missiles and five drones, he added.
On Thursday, Russia pounded Ukraine with a fresh missile barrage, hitting more energy installations and other civilian buildings less than two days after one of its heaviest bombardments yet.

I have been in the west and northern US in winter. 20-30 below zero without the wind.
These people are going to suffer horribly.
If you have been out in that kind of environment, you know exactly what I mean.
If you have never experienced it, I can tell you it is a deadly nightmare and I would not wish it on anybody. Especially for the elderly and those with small children

All orcs are pure evil...wherever they are. Arm Ukraine with long range missiles to counter the incoming and also to destroy orc city infrastructures in their orcland habitat over the border. The West are complicit in this onslaught against Ukraine by not doing the right thing ....arm the Ukraine...they're fighting our war for us.

naw. costs too much. thier leadership is corrupt and the Ukrainian leadership helped bring this on themselves. Maybe next time they will not listen to thier American agitators. The Ukrainians need to rebel and get rid of those monsters before zelinski and crew kill them all. No this not pro russian. i would say the same if they were fighting the italians. One of the reasons no one wants to get fully involved on the ground. These corrupt governments like somalia, Afganistan Vietnam and the rest are eternal blood suckers. Draining thier Allies and their own people.
At this point there are no good solutions to any of this. No one is looking to negotiate or back down.
