US President Biden Believes The Russia - Ukraine War Will Slow Down This Winter

AFP: US President Joe Biden on Monday hailed Ukraine's recapture of Kherson as a "significant, significant victory", but said fighting would now slow going into winter and the war's outcome "remains to be seen".

US President Joe Biden on Monday hailed Ukraine's recapture of Kherson as a "significant, significant victory", but said fighting would now slow going into winter and the war's outcome "remains to be seen".

"I can do nothing but applaud the courage, determination and capacity of the Ukrainian people," Biden told a press conference.

"I think you are going to see things slow down a bit because of the winter months," he said, adding: "I think it remains to be seen exactly what the outcome will be," except that Russia will not occupy Ukraine.

Update: Biden envisions Ukraine conflict slowing down during winter (RT).

WNU editor: I am not sure the war is going to slow down this winter. During the Second World War the fighting on the eastern front was most brutal during winter.

Joe knows what people tell him The people behind him like Obama are grifting idiots. Obama never studied military science. Obama knows what suck up generals fearful of keeping their jobs tell him. So he is blind.

Joe knows what people around him know or deign to tell him. Has Ron Klain studied military science? Nay. Kamala? Nyet.

Is self-study of military science a waste of time? Ask Mr. Knox. They named a fort after him.

But Biden has only has a JD, which is a wonderful thing and arguably necessary for Congressman, but not sufficient IMO. I see no evidence that he intended on using the JD for anything other than as a stepping stone into office. Do he really learn the law or merely parroted stuff back to the prof and plagiarize?

Has no one of the beautiful people in Washington DC read about the Battle for Moscow? It is not reasonable to expect people to read several articles or books on the subject, but to not have read one is probably malfeasance. Or do they have hire a person, who majored in Russian studies to be told what to think?

Bottom line. Uncle Joe does not have a clue. The generals in the pentagon know better. I do not know what their malfunction is. I guess they just don't care enough anymore to tell him. To busy keeping the blinders on and polishing their own apples.

The President of the US actually said this? Wow... what ignorance. Our intel agencies must suck too. This is bad.

Because Mr.9:09 above is absolutely right. When the mud freezes......

Mud or now mud T-72s still go boom when opened with a can opener from the top.

Some people talk brave, I bet a certain someone has no family, who is part of a tank crew.

The Israelis designed the Merkava tank to cut casualties of tank crew from 50% to 25% or 0%. that was decades ago. The Russians never got the memo.

I believe in my fairy godmother also. What a maroon.
On a different note pretty much all Russian tanks go boom when hit in turret. Putting shells in the turret is a really bad idea.

You all miss the point and therefore do not address the topic.

Which is: will the War continue at a normal pace come winter?

What you all addressed was: will equipment be used and how effective it will be. specifically tanks.

Keep focused.

We are focused. You are just a stupid shit. Tanks and vehicles get stuck in the mud. It means they cannot be used as much.

It depends during the muddy season if infantry has the will or capacity to attack with out tank support. If they do not, it means that operations come to a halt.

In the mud:

+ Supply trucks get stuck. No supplies, no offensive.

+ Artillery is useless in the mud. They can shoot over it bozo. But there is this little thing called counter battery fire. They need to shoot and scoot. Hard to scoot when you are stuck in the mud.

+ Then there is the tanks. Tanks are used to spearhead infantry attacks. They are used to reduce strong points for the infantry. They are used to reduce string points that artillery or tactical air power somehow missed. That is their primary purpose. Tanks secondary role is to kill other tanks. No tanks = far fewer offensives and probably or certainly no blitzkrieg or deep battle.

So yes, equipment affected by mud determines the pace all other things being equal.

No dumb dumb

Your original comments were about Russian tanks getting destroyed. Not about the maneuverability of forces in the field. Frozen ground = no mud. No mud means off road maneuverability. Off road mobility means possible offensive
