CNN: 5 key takeaways from Xi’s trip to Saudi Arabia

Abu Dhabi CNN — Years of progressing ties between oil-wealthy Saudi Arabia and China, an economic giant in the east, this week culminated in a multiple-day state visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping to Riyadh, where a number of agreements and summits heralded a “new era” of Chinese-Arab partnership.

Xi, who landed on Wednesday and departed Friday, was keen to show his Arab counterparts China’s value as the world’s largest oil consumer, and how it can contribute to the region’s growth, including within fields of energy, security and defense.

The trip was widely viewed as yet another snub to Washington, which holds grievances toward both states over a number of issues.

WNU Editor: The image of the sick and frail Saudi King meeting Chinese President Xi and not Crown Prince Salman says volumes to me on how important the Saudis regarded this visit by the Chinese President, and that the Saudi establishment is completely onboard with what they want to do with China.

In the meantime Chinese media is saying that what was accomplished at this summit was not aimed against a third country ....Saudi Arabia's overtures to China, BRICS not against a third country (CGTN). I disagree. The Saudis and their Persian allies are looking for a different partner while distancing themselves from the U.S., and Beijing saw an opportunity and they took it.

The Duran gives a good analysis on what was accomplished in this trip, and what will be the consequences (see below).

The world is a hostile palce and Let's go Brandon alienated the most important mid rank power in the world.

I would saw that Saudi Arabia is more important than the UK, Germany or France. It is more important than Australia or Brasil.

It is more important than South Africa or Iran.

Why do the Democrat elite have a lip lock on the Iranians when Saudi Arabia is more important?

While I can't say for certain, I think the answer to this question is they base policy decisions on ideology rather than sober minded rational analysis. Good poker players these guys and gals would not be!!

Arch racist Woodrow Wilson jumped into a war after both sides were exhausted. Troops on both sides were mutinying or near mutiny. Germany was blockaded and starving. So Crediting Woodrow Wilson is like crediting Malak for killing Dagoth in the film Conan the Destroyer.

Woodrow Wilson is such a racist that all, virtually all school are having his name removed.

WW2 was over 75 years ago. FDR was barely smart enough to stop socializing the American economy and instead fight the NAZIs.

America's win had more to do with industrialization from the Civil War through the 1920s than FDR's not so great leadership. FDR was so smart he lengthened WW2 by 1 year.

America was isolationist. then that changed. If commenting folks here lived back then they would have wanted Charles Lindbergh for president and not FDR
After all, Lindy loved Hitler and rightists here adore failed Trump

"Lindbergh never publicly stated support for the Nazis and condemned them several times in both his public speeches and personal diary"

4:38 you are just all kinds of stupid.

China is Saudi Arabia’s biggest oil customer. China can restrain Iran. China is building the biggest navy in the world.
Democrats upend Republican policies targeting Iran. Democrats are personally hostile to members of the Saudi Royal family.
America is a declining world power that was humiliated in Afghanistan. So this is understandable.

Now what from American point of view? Smart move, which Biden never does, is rapidly build out US oil n gas resources like Trump was doing. This move probably permanently end’s congressional approval of advanced weapons to Saudi Arabia.

This seminal meeting has sealed the end of the dollar serving as the worlds reserve currency. Unless the US government and Federal Reserve act smartly and now the dollar will lose significant value. Higher inflation results.
