Russian President Putin And Chinese President Xi To Hold A Video-Conference Call This Friday

Reuters: Putin and Xi to speak by video link on Friday 

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will speak with Chinese President Xi Jinping via video link on Friday to discuss a host of bilateral and regional issues. 

"First of all, they will talk about bilateral Russian-Chinese relations," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday. 

"And, of course, it will be very important to exchange views on more acute regional problems - those that are closer to us, Russia, and those that are closer to China," Peskov added, without providing specific details.

WNU Editor: Aside from wishing each other a Happy New Year, I expect the rest of the discussion will be focused on economic/military/and geopolitical issues. I am also hearing reports that this is going to be a long meeting, and it will be classified. This tells me that a number of discussions that are going to take place will be of a military nature. Another sign on how close Russia - China ties are becoming.
