U.N. Says M23 Rebels Massacred At Least 131 In Congo

Al Jazeera: M23 rebels killed at least 131 civilians in eastern DRC, UN says

Victims were ‘arbitrarily executed’ during a massacre in two villages in North Kivu in late November, a preliminary investigation has found. M23 rebels killed at least 131 civilians in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo late last month as part of a campaign of murder, rape, kidnapping and looting, the United Nations has said. Wow, color me shocked.

They put a number on the death toll almost as if the State Department and those in DC actually gave a flying f___.

It is a small f___ to be sure.

But it is progress.

When so called journalists start listing names then I know they are on the road to being serious. Or maybe they will just be grifting.

Remember that time the Democrats made a fuss over Kony 10 years ago. We had Kony cornered and then our 1st black president pulled the plug.

I am continually shocked that no one gives a rat's ass about Africa. Someone in the readership her has to care? Black readers? Liberal readers> Students of History?

What happens in Africa affects us all:

Top 10 Battles in African History

But you would not know it from the malign/benign neglect.

Maybe there are no black readers?

Maybe all the black readers are liberals and take their cue from Obama. He doesn't care so, why should they?

There is at least one highway traversing the spine of Africa going thru Ruanda towards the south. It is a busy road. It is also very important.

But nothing.

Still nothing

1984 was an accurate description of how China, Russia, the US and others feel about Africa?
