* Japan announced it will require a negative Covid test for travelers arriving from mainland China starting Dec. 30.

* Taiwan will also test arrivals from mainland China starting Jan. 1, the government said in a statement

The U.S. government is considering imposing new Covid rules for travelers from China, officials said, citing concerns over virus-related data released by the Chinese government.

“There are mounting concerns in the international community on the ongoing COVID-19 surges in China and the lack of transparent data, including viral genomic sequence data, being reported from the PRC,” officials said in a statement late Tuesday.

“Without this data, it is becoming increasingly difficult for public health officials to ensure that they will be able to identify any potential new variants and take prompt measures to reduce the spread,” the officials said.

The Chinese government is encouraging citizens to vacation outside China. This is a very bad look for China. Chinese think so too.

Xi was correct in ending the lockdown. However once you end the artificial lockdown there is a "catch up" price to be paid.

I expect China to have more COVID cases or deaths than the average nation. It has a high percentage of elderly and it has a high population density. That would be true regardless of who was in power the last decade.

Any COVID variant in China is going to spread beyond China from normal trade and travel. However the timing and severity of that spread could be affected by encouraging pe0ple to leave. As already said. This is a bad look and people know what Xi is up to.

China opens up so scary scary virus coming from there gives our gangsters a good excuse to close small shops again, absorb the money from the middle class, and rig the election process with mail in ballots.

Fool me once. Shame on you.
Fool me twice. Shame on me.

Please, guys.

Lets first hang these monsters for what they did. Then we can do a lockdown party month every year and still have plenty money and wealth and peace left. Once these demons who want to enslave us all are gone from this planet they seek to control.
