The U.S. modified H.I.M.A.R.S. rocket launchers before sending them to Ukraine to prevent them firing long-range missiles into Russia, and widening the war, according to defense officials.
The Highly Mobile Artillery Rocket Systems are self-propelled launchers, equipped with a missile pod that can fire a range of different weapons.
Washington has sent 20 launchers, which have been credited with helping Ukraine push back Russian invaders.

Well, hopefully they used the strongest hemp twine available.
If it was secret we wouldn't know about it. It sounds more like a backtrack.
Remember last week? US would not provide ATACM missiles until spring of 2023. This is part of the same operating methodology/ policy.
Give the ukies just enough to continue to die without them causing real trouble so to keep the USA out of the war.
Expect the main part of the war to be over by about April or May. The USA set this date with their ATACMs delivery date.
Never intending to follow thru with the delivery, they made the delivery date after their estimated "end of war". date.
Oh yes, btw the guerrilla war will last a long time after the main conflict comes to an end.
All according to the USA plan.
Keep Russian busy and tied down, chain the EU to the USA economy.
Lead the Ukies down the path of perdition as pawns in a larger game.
