It may be a good thing that the Canadian military is now an underachiever. I say this because the Canadian government is now firmly in the hands of Leftists, and can not be trusted to make sound decisions regarding the use of military force.

What military? Canada was racing Germany to achieve most militarily irrelevant status in NATO. Lots of great competition for that trophy but Canada was always near the top of the leader board.
