Newsweek: Putin Ally Issues Stark Warning Over Possibility of Nuclear War in Europe
Viktor Medvedchuk, an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has issued a stark warning over the possibility of a nuclear war breaking out in Europe.
Medvedchuk, a pro-Kremlin Ukrainian oligarch who was released by Kyiv in a prisoner swap with Russia in September 2022, made the remarks in a wide-rangingarticle for Izvestia, a daily broadsheet newspaper in Russia.
The 68-year-old has close ties with Putin, who is believed to be the godfather of his youngest daughter. Medvedchuk was the former leader of a pro-Russian opposition party in Ukraine, and was detained in April by Ukraine's state security service, or the SBU, after he fled house arrest while awaiting trial on treason charges.
Kyiv has stripped him of his Ukrainian citizenship.
In the article, published on Monday, Medvedchuk began by saying that Putin's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, launched on February 24, 2022, was "not limited to Ukraine" and affected "many countries."

As to what is my view.
No one is talking to the other side. There are no peace talks or ceasefires being planned. And there is certainly no discussion on the need to construct a new detente. All sides are now in war mode and no one is talking to the other side.
But IMHO this is the time to start the process of detente again. To at least begin some form of dialogue instead of keeping all the doors shut. Because the alternative if this is not done is too terrible to think about.

They have learned nothing and will keep using bullldozer methodology just like the Soviets did in WWII.
I read somewhere the suggestion that the current classified document blah blah blah is designed by deep staters who are deeper than Biden in order to blackmail him into going full war against Russia. Hmmmm. Maybe. but I still think it is just corruption, incompetence and the secure knowledge that there are no consequences for Democrat crimes or maleficence. I suppose Ukraine can collapse and the powers that be will be able to survive just as they have survived locking us down and forcing many to take an experimental gene therapy. Ron
