Both France and Germany need good deletions wirh Russia. Furthermore it's obvious and should've been from the start Russia is going to win in Ukraine. Once US leadership messaging can no longer hide this they'll let loose our nukes assuming they actually still work which is iffy at best.

France and Germany look at Russia and know this is a major world power, has been for centuries, and will be for centuries more. In contrast, they see America a country in disarray whose continued existence beyond the next five years is problematic at best. Either internal strife or foreign enemies are likely to finish it off. French and German leaders get this and naturally will act accordingly.
