In The Biggest Shake-up Of The War, Ukraine Purges Numerous Officials And Regional Governors

Reuters: Ukraine purges officials and governors in biggest shake-up of war

KYIV, Jan 24 (Reuters) - Ukraine dismissed more than a dozen senior officials including governors of several major battlefield provinces on Tuesday in the biggest shake-up of its wartime leadership since Russia's invasion last year.

Separately on Tuesday, a long-awaited decision on whether allies could send German-made heavy tanks to Ukraine finally confronted Berlin, after Poland said it had formally sent its request to the German government.

Among Ukrainian officials who resigned or were dismissed on Tuesday were the governors of the Kyiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and adjacent Dnipropetrovsk are frontline provinces now; Kyiv and Sumy were major battlefields earlier in the war. A deputy defence minister, a deputy prosecutor, a deputy head of President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's office and two deputy ministers responsible for regional development were among the others who left.

WNU Editor: This is long overdue.

There has been a lot of infighting within the Ukraine government that the Western press has not been reporting on. Corruption being one of the reasons for this infighting. But what has changed is that many in the West, including Republicans who now control the US Congress, are starting to question where is all the money? I think this purge is a way to placate those who are raising concerns on corruption and future aid. I also expect more firings and dismissals of Ukrainian officials in the future. Especially on the local level.

A prediction. The next big purge in Ukraine will be within the military.

Do not be surprised. Zelinski is preparing.

Yes, the Calm before the Russian Storm

Ensure only the loyal are completely in charge.

It reminds me of Hitler in 44. Remove and punish all your weak sisters and luke warm followers.

Only the Fanatics are to remain

There will be no further disobedience when I command Paris to be burned and destroyed.

All will fight to the death. There will be no retreat at Stalingrad, Breslau or Berlin.

Yes, my friends ...history does not repeat, but it does rhyme.

The grip gets tighter

30 to 60 days we shall see

Time for the bear to spank some greedy western arse

Dismissal? If guilty of corruption during a time of war, they should be shot.

12:22-how's that going so far? Aside from nukes, the bear has turned out to be just a confused cub. Big talk when you all haven't even managed so far to properly spank little ol Ukraine.

Let's see..... The senior staff of the Ministry of Interior (MOI) was wiped out in a Helo crash last week.

Does not the MOI control the security apparatus/ secret police?

So a week before the big government purge: The NKVD/Shin Bet/ FBI/Mossad/CIA/ DOJ equivalent gets its collective head cut off.

Connect the dots

This is probably not a coincidence.

But "why" is the question.
Were they going to get purged too and Zelinski feared they would resist?

Or was it merely an accident?

Who knows , but in covert ops world, it sure looks suspicious.

Look at who took the propaganda bait hook, line and sinker. Russia is winning this and it’s why the west is in a panic to get tanks in there.

Sure sign the war is going badly for Ukraine. They have 3 months before spring weather opens up maneuver warfare. Best get their act together.

Lol Russian disinformation trolls.

3 top of the line Russian helicopters were shot down in 30 minutes. 2 ground attack planes were also downed.

Ready rooms in Russian squadrons have plenty of extra seating.

Russia is bleeding out.

It is de rigueur for me, WNU and others here to criticize the partisanship and incompetence of the CIA.

I have serious doubts about the CIA being able to operate in Russia and accomplishing anything. Maybe the CIA can and they want us to think they cannot.

Have you considered the CIA's role in the anti-corruption drive? It is safe for CIA assets to monitor corrupt Ukrainian officials taking vacations in Spain or jacking up food prices in military contracts. CIA agents can mostly operate safely in Ukraine and Spain. It was not my 1st, 2nd or 3ed thoughts, but it occurred to me that the CIA collected data on an ally and passed it on the Washington, which proceeded to tell Zelinskjy some of what he knew and some he did not. Washington told Zelinsky to fix it.

So I see these announcement of firings as a good thing. Also harping on the refrain that Ukraine is corrupt is pissing me off. I see the US and Russia as equally corrupt as Ukraine. I see the harping on "Ukraine as corrupt" as a propaganda campaign and resent the Hell out of it.

Washington wanted more efficiency and so pushed for the firings. They wanted less corruption to ensure winning this. They also pushed this to hear less about Ukraine corruption by talking heads in the US media.

There is a 2 week rule in human psychology. Learned about in theatre class of all things. During spring of 2020,nedia did not know what to say about COVD. It took them about two weeks to start harmonizing on a message and the terms like social distancing. they were confused and unsure and then once they got the terms and themes, there was social confidence. It was fucking eerie. I look for Ukraine corruption to die out as media buzz in the next 2 weeks.

I am belabouring the point, but war is coming. The whole corruption announcements means that Washington means to win. the y do not want to consider nuclear, war, but they are pissed when it is threatened. They have no plans for a nuclear war and might get there by happenstance, but to think they would hesitate to to push the red button would be the last mistake ever made in Moscow.

Moscow took the wrong lesson for the corruption charges. They saw it as a propaganda win. Actually it is a declaration of the most serious intent.
