Politico: Proposed GOP select panel would be empowered to review ‘ongoing criminal investigations’
The proposed “select subcommittee" would operate under the Judiciary Committee expected to be chaired by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio).
A proposed subcommittee to investigate “weaponization” of the federal government — a key demand of House conservatives who delivered Speaker Kevin McCarthy the gavel — would be given sweeping investigatory powers that include explicit authority to review “ongoing criminal investigations.”
The language of the proposed “select subcommittee,” which would operate under the Judiciary Committee expected to be chaired by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), also gives the panel power to access any information shared with the House Intelligence Committee. That panel typically receives the highest-level classified intelligence and briefings of any committee in Congress.

My gut tells me that a lot of uncomfortable information is going to be known in the coming two years.

But I think the reason why some in the media are uncomfortable with this investigation is the possibility that it may expose not only US Federal government interference in what social media companies can have on their platforms, but how they also influence reporters and news media organizations.

Of course the left is in panic mode and they will do everything they can to prevent this
Their entire rule is based on this unholy, illegal and undemocratic alliance between big tech, big pharma, big media and of course the military industrial complex + corrupt people in intel agencies, who should not only be fired in disgrace, without pension, but should be seriously investigated, with prison and yes, death penalty on the table.
They have gone way too far.

This is one of the greatest scandals in the history of the USA and one of the most dangerous, by far, for this democratic constitutional republic. It is direct, actual "collusion" of the state with arms of federal law enforcement, along with tacit or entirely open cases of direct collusion between that government and those private companies to actually undermine democracy(TM), disenfranchise most voters through absolute communist style partisan censorship, and ultimately to steal power for the few. All of this while actively and desperately censoring those who disagree, and snuffing any evidence to the contrary, while calling anything wrong think as "conspiracy", and perpetuating complete bias of omission from our trusted media across the board to reinforce the narrative at all costs; even when its obvious you must "RECITE!!" or be cancelled.
Every time communism takes hold it demands a revolt against a system while pawning off the idea its for the "for little guy, and the people", then they install their guys behind the scenes using a "crisis", extreme violence or total non-transparency like the democrats do now, prosperity then soon disappears because the idea of a profit incentive and capitalist free market does not compute (like democrats do now), then they use the existing national wealth on socialist idealist policies to consolidate and justify their power (democrats now), then when the money runs out and lots of people die for questioning the path forward (democrats here soon/micro example of ANTIFA BLM summer riots that caused more casualties and destruction than any event in recent US history because of democrat politics specifically), then the communists and their useful idiots point their fingers at success somewhere else and tell their oppressed people that the reason why there is a disparity between the Communists up top and the captive participants impoverished on the streets below, that the successful system is the exploitative system and are the reason for the failure of the communist system that everyone then regrets but wasnt tried properly yet again.
Along with child butchery and rape, open communism, the direct link between the democrat party and world communism particularly China, open racism and oppression, and not having passed a piece of legislation calibrated to solving any real problems in decades, this has put the democrat party in far worse position than the shit head republicans have ever been in. RINO Republicans will continue to play nice for civility sake while forgetting their platform, and the democrats will use every lie, dollar/Ruble/Yuan and narrative they can to turn this fundamentally sharable republic into the one way communist utopia that they make it clear that they want; at least by their own design.
