Reuters: U.S. officials advise Ukraine to wait on offensive, official says

WASHINGTON — Senior U.S. officials are advising Ukraine to hold off on launching a major offensive against Russian forces until the latest supply of U.S. weaponry is in place and training has been provided, a senior Biden administration official said on Friday.

The official, speaking to a small group of reporters on condition of anonymity, said the United States was holding fast to its decision not to provide Abrams tanks to Ukraine at this time, amid a controversy with Germany over tanks.

President Joe Biden, who approved a new $2.5 billion weapons package for Ukraine this week, told reporters at the White House, “Ukraine is going to get all the help they need,” when asked if he supports Poland’s intention to send German-made Leopard tanks to Ukraine.

U.S. talks with Ukraine on any counter-offensive have been in the context of ensuring the Ukrainians devote enough time first to training on the latest weaponry provided by the United States, the official said.

Update: US advises Ukraine to hold off on major offensive until latest arms shipment: report (FOX News)

WNU Editor: Good advice from these US officials.

Ukraine has approximately 700,000 men in uniform. But out of that 700,000 soldiers, anywhere from 150,000 to 200,000 are only fit for combat. On the opposite side there are approximately 300,000 to 500,000 Russian soldiers fit for combat, and according to all reports they are dug in with protected fortifications, multiple kill zones. and superior fire power backed by air supremacy.

Ukraine also has the problem of having adequate supplies of ammo, equipment, and the need to replace combat soldiers. General Valery Zaluzhny, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was very clear in his interview with the Economist last month that he basically needs a new army, something that will take time to rebuild .... Fresh off its recent victories in Iraq and Afghanistan, not to mention Syria and Libya, who better to advise the Ukranians how to conduct a war than the United States? I mean, they're experts in such things, right?

10:10 is right you idiot. How many US surrogates have won in a conflict in the last 50 years?

Panama
Iraq
Afganistan,
Vietnam

All broke, all ran.

Only thing being accomplished in the Ukraine is mass depopulation. In the end both Ukrainians and Russians will have a beef with the US

How did the Russians do against the mujahideen? Us/nato destroyed the iraqi army in days.

>Us/nato destroyed the iraqi army in days.

And then suffered 8+ years of insurgency (and had to reinvade years later to kick out ISIS since the first strategy was so bad).

Afghanistan:

Better check this out slo.

Pakistan has a hard time keeping its fighter jets in the air. It is their punishment for ass raping America while pretending to be a friend. They cannot get parts for Chinese or American aircraft in their inventory.

Kind of hard to fuck with India using air sorties when nothing flies. Maybe that is why it has been quiet.

America did not have a chance to win in Afghanistan after the initial push due to the political class not wanting to take on Pakistan and calling a spade a spade. The problem with Afghanistan was political not military.

Iraq: We replaced Saddam Hussein and set up a new government which is still functioning. the new government's friendliness to Iran has been declining

Panama: Noriega was botted form power. Panama Canal is still open as it was before kicking Noriega out.

Vietnam was a stunning success for the KGB in America. We owe you motherfrackers.

At this point it is on to Moscow.

No, Obama the terrible purposefully torpedoed the SOFA talks. WNU said so himself if you search the posts on the subject. But that would mean properly worded queries and what you only know is trolling.

You idiots are way off base especially poster 1:40

This is about US Trained forces. How long did US Trained forces last/ how did they do.

NOT PRE US invasion forces.

The only outlier see is Panama. Which we trained then invaded. They sucked as well

Again, the mujahideen were trained, funded and equipped by the CIA. Another proxy war. The piper is going to collect sooner or later on all the global manipulation we’ve been involved in over the decades. It’s no secret the US is on its way out. Soy boys and trannys generally don’t make for good soldiers
