Why Is Biden And Trump Being Treated Differently In The Classified Document Cases

Zero Hedge/Epoch Times: Experts Question Why Biden And Trump Treated Differently In Classified Document Cases

As Republican lawmakers such as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) express concern that President Joe Biden’s retention of classified materials from his vice presidency may be “[swept] under the rug,” legal experts told The Epoch Times why Biden and former President Donald Trump appear to have been treated very differently in two strikingly parallel cases.

FBI agents executed a search warrant on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida, in August 2022. The warrant said there was probable cause to believe there were “additional documents that contain classified NDI [national defense information]” or “presidential records subject to record retention requirements” at Mar-a-Lago.

By contrast, neither the Penn Biden Center nor any other address associated with Biden has been raided after classified materials were reportedly found at the center’s Washington office, which is located in a nondescript building about a mile from the White House.

President Biden's opponents are saying that he should be treated the same way as President Trump when it comes to holding onto "classified documents".

I disagree.

Quoting Mike Davis, former chief counsel for nominations to then-Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) .... President Trump had the absolute constitutional and statutory power under the Presidential Records Act to declassify and take presidential records when he left office. Former Vice President Joe Biden absolutely did not.

Trump turned down the offer on Epstein's plane, Biden did not. That's the difference.

Joe Biden had classified data in his garage.

Joe made the case that he has an expensive car in his garage so of course that it is secure. Plus Joe has secret service protection I think as an ex VP. Ex-presidents have such protection.

So assuming that Joe Biden had secret service protection are there so many that they watxh his main residence when he is at his beach house or traveling? If not, then the garage is not such a secure location.

People are of the opinion that another stash will be found.

Defenders or arsonists are now using a document count between Trump and Biden. If another stash, if found they will lose this argument too although they will never admit it.

keep it up! this is good. The more you compare the more Trump looks much more guilty. After all, he claimed he could declassify in his head! He took the records and did not return when asked. He then returned some and did not for many and the govt had to go in and get them.

DOJ had these docs in their possession on November 3rd and hid the information until now. More election interference by the FBI.

SHOCKED,

we keep hearing that so-called experts say this and that but the experts are either GOP operatives or an expert who remains anonymous (zero site)
All the claims are made by those who had worked for Trump. One so bold as to say Trump had the right to take and keep materials! No. That is why the national archive place exists. And yes, he can declassify while in office but not after removing materials. That is why it is still stamped top secret and that is why it does not belong in his hotel and that is why National Archives wants the materials returned under current laws.
and yes. Biden's stuff should not be where it was located and yes, he had it returned in full instantly.

^^^ That poster would be former, Retired.

They found a 3rd stash.

What we know of Biden's house was security system was turned off, because of false alarm. So they went with a video monitor, During a gunfire incident down the road from Biden's house in 2015, they consulted the video system. It had been turned off.

To protect the Biden meaning really to protect the Democrat party brand they are real stingy with the details. The second tranche of document was called small although a number was not given. The Dems want to use the document count comparison argument still.

If the document count is close or Biden has more, where will you go?

You will go somewhere and give out more lame excuses.

Biden is done. He is not going to make it to 86. As soon as he is out the door the state of the art care he is getting will be gone. He will still get good care, but not as good as he has been getting. By 2 or 3 years out of office he will be drooling from ever more severe Alzheimer disease.

matt--you do not know how to make an argument
You just scream and insult
as a proctologist would say of you: you are an asshole

Actually, this is all simple:
Garland has a separate person in charge of looking into each instance under discussion.
Now before you scream partisan, the Biden investigation headed by Trump-appointed man

so let us withhold judgement and wait till investigations etc completed and made public. Till such time, we are but screaming our partisanship.

LMFAO at the box check buffoon drowning in her presser. If I had a drink every time she repeated the phrases, “ongoing process” and “I can’t speak to that”, I’d be one hungover dude tomorrow.
