Allies Breaking Their Promise To Ukraine On The Number Of Tanks That They Will Receive

Bloomberg: Ukraine to Receive Fewer Battle Tanks From Allies Than Promised

(Bloomberg) -- German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius indicated that western allies are struggling to put together two full battalions of Leopard 2 tanks to send to Ukraine as promised.

Germany and Portugal are the only two nations to commit to sending the A6 version of the Leopard 2, with 14 pledged by the government in Berlin and three from the Portuguese, Pistorius told reporters Wednesday after meeting NATO counterparts in Brussels. “We will not reach the size of a battalion,” he said.

Poland has assembled about 30 units of the older A4 version of the Leopard 2, which is almost enough for the standard Ukrainian battalion of 31, but many of them are in poor condition and need repairs before they can be deployed, Pistorius said. Those tanks will only get to Ukraine at the end of April, he added.

Well, you still have about 12 days until 1 March. Unless you want to concede the bet now and send me that 50 dollars.

130 tanks by March 1st, somehow I do not think that is going to happen.

Antiwaar.com has the goods. They are salivating. what did the boys, girls and babes at antiwar do to stop the russians from invading in the 1st place? Bleat? Protest? Break out kneepads?

You are off target.

The Russians had little choice in the matter. Their mistakes

a. Waiting too long. they should have attacked in 2014 or 15, before the cultural poison set in.

b. when the did invade, not being destructive and deadly enough like the Americans in Iraq.

That's what you get for trying to negotiate in good faith and trying to be a humanitarian when you fight.

Putin had to invade just like Hitler had to invade Czechoslovakia. Putin/Hitler both had to assassinate internal opposition. Both had armored trains.

Funny, I do not remember the Americans destroying the Iraqi electrical grid.

Anonymous said...

Guess you were not there bud. We were without local power gen for months The grid was effectively taken down in the most excellent manner.

Anonymous said...

"most excellent manner" Who talks like that? Is that you Ted?

You should sue your English teacher.

After Saddam was taken out electrical output in Iraq almost tripled. Much better to be with the Americans than a Russian stooge client state.

Your time period is fuzzy there. I assume that is so you can make blanket statements and not be fact checked.

You suck at your job. I hear Woekoeta or Norilsk are nice this time of year. Maybe your boss will dispose of you at one of those camps.

Anonymous said...

Nobody said there weren't huge reconstruction projects afterward. Ask Cheney. Regardless the fact still stands that the entire grid was knocked out during the shock and awe campaign and you're the one fuzzying the timeline in order to make it sound like the bombing campaign was dropping generators and batteries.

Trump said to NATO "spend more on military." To late now.

Anonymous said...

"and you're the one fuzzying the timeline"

1) Give years fcker

2) When were you there? You said you were, which is odd since you are fcking russian.

I see Norilsk and no indoor plumbing in your future

You are an fking idiot, defended by men far better than your self. I was in during the initial invasion and I agree with the prior guys. There WAS NO power you fking maggot,

But later , yes we rebuilt and trained the had inbeds guarding it using the Mitt concept..

Wikipedia says otherwise fucker

Yes believe wilkapedia HAHAHAHAHA

I bet you believe the NYT and CNN too

you truly are an idiot

I was there you, ffking slacker.

Bet you did not have the guts to go did you?

Anonymous said...

Did I go? Yes, twice. Now Fuck off.

Power in Iraq went down around 25%. By 2008 is was where it was at in 2003/2004.

Funny, but power got restored after fucking Al Qaeda was defeated during The Surge. You remember the surge, bumpkin?

Also, before the war power was intermittent.

During Gulf War 1 they took pains to protect the electrical infrastructure using carbon filament. Then pilots would drop the bombs on power stations to not bring bombs back if they were unable to drop on their main target. Obviously, total undoing the use of carbon filament.

Still it is nothing compared to what the Russians did to Grozny.

You are full of crap and you are either mixed up and have one hell of a TBI moment going on, or a pathetic liar.

We are talking the prep for the invasion you idiot. And how we bombed the hell out of Iraq before we crossed the border.

During the initial Invasion. WE Knocked out the entire power grid. It was dead . the engineers had a hell of a time in Baghdad trying to repair it. When they plugged in their own generators, they almost burned the place to the ground.

How do I know? I was there you lying freak. What did you do? Serve coffee at the Green Bean in 06?

Jerks like you need lobotomies.
