Democrats Preparing For The Possibility The President Biden May Not Run For Re-Election In 2024

Politico: Biden may not run — and top Dems are quietly preparing

The president no longer seems absolutely certain to go for a second term, leaving the party, his top aides and potential candidates unsure about '24 and very quietly mulling plan B.

Joe Biden’s closest advisers have spent months preparing for him to formally announce his reelection campaign. But with the president still not ready to make the plunge, a sense of doubt is creeping into conversations around 2024: What if he decides not to?

Biden’s past decisions around seeking the presidency have been protracted, painstaking affairs. This time, he has slipped past his most ambitious timetable, as previously outlined by advisers, to launch in February. Now they are coalescing around April.

I do not know if President Biden is going to run again. But after his speech in Warsaw, if he does run again a part of me is now wondering if he is going to run as a "war President" in 2024.

I have problems with Resident Joe Biden running as a war president.

1) Running as a war president without declaring war

2) Not being judged somewhat the same as a general would be.

A battle is considered a fiasco, if you have 15% casualties or KIA. It is not a hard and fast rule, but it is a metric whereby generals and staff planning or executing battles have been judged at least in WW2.

It has been remarked that often equipment has been asked for and denied only for it to be approved 2 or 3 months later. This feeding slow or belated in resources is getting extra people killed.
One win against Russia is not as good as another win against Russia if it is obtained with 100,000 higher Ukrainian casualties.

these remarks are plain silly
Korea was not a war but a police action and Truman did ok
what matters is who is winning and Russia has now been fighting 10 months longer than anticipated.
yo do not need to be a general to be a war president as FDR has shown us
what general will GOP run? DeSantis, Trump?

Historians write about the Korean War not the Korean Police Action.

The VFW accept people who have fought in foreign wars.

Many uniformed American soldiers died in Korea?

"According to the data from the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. suffered 33,686 battle deaths, along with 2,830 non-battle deaths during the Korean War."

The US sought and got UN Security Council Resolution 82. Does Baby Biden have a/UN Resolution?

If fighting a proxy war makes you a wartime president, then every president since FDR is a war time president.
