Editor's Note

I am now doing a lot of volunteer work on Tuesdays to help Ukrainian refugees adjust to living in Canada. I will try to do some blogging later this evening.

Update Wednesday 11:22 EST: I spent the night drinking with a bunch of Canadians of Ukrainian descent who are helping as best as they can with all of these new comers. I am not much of a drinker. Needless to say I am paying for it now (throbbing headache).

Alex. Almost all of these refugees are women with their children. In a few cases like my cousin who moved to Winnipeg 6 weeks ago, her husband was allowed to leave due to a medical condition. From what I can tell. The vast majority want Canada to be their new home. If that is the case. I will not be surprised if their husbands/boyfriends will leave Ukraine to join them when the war is over. And I do not blame them. After this war Ukraine is going to be a destroyed country heavily indebted to the West. and to put it bluntly, there is no future in that.

Good works, you do allot for them.

Hey WNU, can you give us some insight on how these refugees see Canada? What are their thoughts, feelings, etc.? Do they see this is a permanent change, or are they hoping to return to Ukraine someday?

I understand they're going through an extremely difficult situation so this might be premature but I'm curious.

Thanks,
Alex

Actually insane that, multiple times, you've called WNU editor the name of an actor who played a side character on a German TV show, and expected anyone to understand what the heck you were talking about. I googled it back then to try and discern your meaning but when I ended up on his wikipedia page I never thought to actually start clicking through his filmography to make the connection. Lot of work for little payoff :\

Looking forward to the next mystery!

It is completely understandable, if not 100% sure.

It is called a supporting character and one, who has their own story arc.

Mayor Beetlejuice loses, concedes.

"Lightfoot defeated — with Vallas in strong lead, likely to face Johnson in runoff
Mayor Lori Lightfoot finished third in Tuesday’s election with 16.4% of the vote behind former Chicago Public Schools CEO Paul Vallas at 35.02% and Cook County Commissioner and Chicago Teachers Union organizer Brandon Johnson with 20.25%."

Vallas won't seem as cartoonish, but he will not be an improvement.

Should see what Alex says about it.

NEWS: A lawsuit against the city by a former Park District attorney alleges that Mayor Lori Lightfoot berated staff in obscene terms over Columbus statue, told them “My dick is bigger than yours and the Italians, I have the biggest dick in Chicago.”

I miss her already.

EASY Prediction

That woman or thing was a portent of the future. Today she is one of few, give it 10 years and she will be one of many. The cities are going to get worse.

An example of progressive liberal modern culture at its best.

Who is the Christian nation?

That woman was human scum.

SKodabreath, that woman was the high tide mark of liberal scum. Liberal scum I might add the the USSR supported for decades. Soviet/Russian support went far beyond bankrolling Gus Hall and the CPUSA. We have not forgotten and we have not forgiven.

That is right Skoda. She and her ilk did that. Don't forget about Gus's tag team partner Angela.

So what you going to do now Skoda? Lightfoot breedlove, the squad, romney mcconnel ryan that is your future. Yes a gaggle of atheistic , progressive, ideological fanatic harpies.

How can you volunteer for Ukrainian refugees, when you constantly support Russia? Are you really doing anything, or are you just lying out of your ass again?

The guy is a humanitarian.

A practical humanitarian.

This is the practical side........

Russia has all the advantages in this war. Economies of scale.

The war is

Not Ukraines to win

But it is Russias to lose.

His position maybe not about support, but about "probable outcomes".

BUT Remember the Ukrainians can still win this.

It just depends on how badly the Russians screw it up.

"When it was over, not only had Russia failed to capture Vuhledar, but it also had made the same mistake that cost Moscow hundreds of tanks earlier in the war: advancing columns into ambushes."

Standard Russian tactics in a meeting engagement is to bull your way through. Not working.

Answer?

Who is Alexander Beyer?

Who is Tina Fischer?

Deutschland 83 - 89 is watchable in a weekend without being too sedentary.

Deutschland 83
Deutschland 86
Deutschland 89

The premise for Deutschland 83 is sound.

New Documents Reveal How a 1980s Nuclear War Scare Became a Full-Blown Crisis

- Wired Magazine

"Over 10 days in November 1983, the U.S. and the Soviet Union nearly started a nuclear war. Now newly declassified documents reveal just how close we reached a mutual destruction -- because of an exercise."

Ugh, Canada already hosts the worst diasporas in the world. Now we get the privilege of doubling the number of banderites controlling prairie politics.

Im sure your family members are great, but I'm genuinely sick of this "Ukrainian Congress" buying off our politicians.
