Is Ukraine President Zelensky Playing Western Leaders Like A Violin?

Jeremy Warner, The Telegraph: Zelensky plays his fawning Western suitors like a violin

Slowly but surely, Western engagement in Putin's war is ramping up. European leaders may not yet be ready to give Volodymyr Zelensky the combat aircraft he seeks, but it can surely only be a matter of time. The only question is who coughs up first, and thereby gets the credit as a saviour of the Ukrainian nation. Anything, it would seem, to deflect from political and economic woes at home.

From Britain's Rishi Sunak to France's Emmanuel Macron and Germany's Olaf Scholz, they were positively falling over each other last week to be photographed in the great man's presence – so much so that Italy's firebrand premier, Giorgia Meloni, had to formally complain about being left out. You talk of European solidarity, she said in a fit of pique, yet you fail to invite me to your tête à tête with Zelensky. What does that say about unity among European nations?

WNU Editor: I was surprised to read this opinion piece in the The Telegraph. It paints a very unflattering portrait of Zelensky. The Telegraph is as main stream as you can get in Britain, and supportive of Zelensky and the UK's involvement in the war. Are some in the media now questioning the support that Zelensky is receiving? Will this influence public opinion and in turn political leaders? Only time will tell.

But in the end I think Seymour Hersh is right on how this war will end ....

.... “The stories I’ve been getting about the war, particularly beginning in fall — and that’s what gets interesting — have been pretty dire. The Russians, I don’t think — I think the end is just a question of time. Right now it’s a question of how many more people Zelensky wants to kill of his own people. It’s going to be over.”

ineligible president the biggest farce this war in a country where 90% of the language is similar to Russian and its roots, more dependence on energy, gas and other companies comes from Russia, of course there is no it makes sense because the USA is in america and ukraine is not even from america and not so much from europe as we can see on the map, a country that became a cell of drug dealers, terrorists and bizarre nazis...

Zel was a puppet of Kolomoisky before the war but now he's a puppet for much larger and less easily identifiable forces. Most western leaders are simply acquiescing to his demands at the behest of similar masters.
