Stars and Stripes: Navy’s ships spend less time at sea amid persistent maintenance delays, report says

WASHINGTON — The Navy’s warships have been spending less time at sea and more time under costly and lengthy repairs since 2011, according to a government watchdog report released Tuesday.

A review of 151 surface warships by the Government Accountability Office showed worsening maintenance delays, more breakdowns requiring repairs and a rising number of working ship parts removed and used elsewhere due to parts shortages in the industry supply chain.

There is an easy solution. Lock up the president, senators and representatives.

Airplanes are suppose to have their engines inspected every so many flight hours plus other inspection. What happens if an airline skips those inspecoins and keeps on flying? there is prosecution. Why should congress and the president be different?

Just because ships float?

Claim the needs of the Navy outweigh good maintenance practices, because congress refuses to fund a right-sized fleet and the manning to go with it?

This is the navy that is going to take down the Chinese?

Call Fazman right away and tell him it now on the Australian Fleet to save the day.

Leave Fazeman alone. He's busy getting all his tanks ready.

Hate to break it to you trolls, but fazman did not post on this story by WNU.

The big hint is that he posts under his google account and so far no one and I mean no one posted under their google account.
