Ukraine Admits The Situation Around The Besieged City Of Bakhmut Is 'Extremely Tense'

Daily Mail: Putin closes in on his first major war victory for six months: Ukraine admits situation is 'extremely tense' as Russia steps up assault on Bakhmut and moves to cut off supply lines, forcing a surrender

* Russia is trying to cut Ukrainian defenders' supply lines to the city of Bakhmut

* A victory for Putin would open way to capture of last remaining areas of Donetsk

Ukraine today said the situation around the besieged city of Bakhmut is 'extremely tense' as Vladimir Putin's forces stepped up their assault to encircle Ukrainian troops.

Russia is trying to cut supply lines to the city, the scene of some of the war's toughest fighting, and force them to surrender or withdraw.

This would give Putin his first major victory in more than half a year and open the way to the capture of the last remaining urban centres in the Donetsk region.

WNU Editor: I have been told that there are anywhere from 10,000 to 20,000 Ukrainian soldiers still in the city. The military experts that I trust tell me that the Russian military is on the verge of developing a real cauldron. Bottom line. These Ukrainian soldiers better get out in the coming days.

Russia should have been able to take this tiny city months ago… it’s a shame how many Russians will lose their life for this worthless city..

You go where your enemy is. The ukies had a major offensive last fall, remember? Ukrainians decided to hold that ground. Now both sides are killing for it. Maybe lots of Russians are dying. Maybe lots of Ukrainians are dying. Would not want to be one of those with a 6 hour life span

Actually it's a shame how many Ukrainians died trying to hold this city

Actually it's a shame how many more russians died trying to take it than Ukrainian's died defending it.

Orcs BTW taste good with ketchup.

Agreed. Ukraine needs to play to it's strengths. They have spent too much time there and too many lives and equipment. Staying there for so long was playing the bear's game.

Isn't that an area where it's easy to dig tunnels? I'll bet the Ukrainian soldiers have ratlines ready. Just like US in Viet Nam, Russians will be boasting about an imaginary kill count while Ukraine regroups. Still, average life expectancy is Bakhmut is 4 hours for new soldiers, or so it's said.

It is a tragedy. The other tragedy is that no one who started and runs this abomination is doing the actual fighting

I guess he did not get the memo about German Intel estimates or the 4 hour survival time or the press gangs rounding up the young and old.

No, Ukraine is winning, that is the narrative, stick to it.
God these people suck

False analogy 10:01. It is not the city that is important, it is the estimated 20 brigades that the ukies have in that sector that is the important point.

Yea, "military experts." I think you pull all these connections you have said you've developed throughout your career from your ass.

Listen skoda. You are still an idiot. Do not like the facts...too bad. The Facts are still not going anywhere whether you like it or not.

Now try to focus when you reply Skoda.

The Main point of that post and the facts we are talking about here are:

a. Ukrainian Losses are significant acoording to German intel and Interview with a former member of the Ukases International brigade.

b. Russians and Ukrainians are fighting in and around Bakhmut due to that fact that the Ukies took that area last fall during their offensive. And now AFU has committed large amount of ground forces to that sector. The Russians , therefore , have sent forces into sector to combat the Ukrainian forces located that area.

OK.after having to spell it out for you... AGAIN.
skods...your turn
