Bloomberg: Xi to Call Ukraine’s Zelenskiy After Russia Visit Next Week
Chinese President Xi Jinping and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskiy plan to speak by video link in what would be their first conversation since Russia’s invasion, a Ukrainian official familiar with the preparations said.
No date has yet been set for the conversation, the person said, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss matters that aren’t yet public.
There was no immediate comment from Zelenskiy’s press office. The session would come after a visit by Xi to Moscow expected next week, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday.

WNU Editor: If I was advising Ukrainian President Zelensky, I would tell him to seriously consider President Xi's pathway for peace to end this war (link to China's 12-point plan is here). You are not going to get a better deal from anyone else.

Russia will carve away Ukraine's territory bit by bit. The peace plan should be considered, but let's not kid ourselves; Ukraine will be the big loser, but the alternative may be more grim.
Also WNU who was always anti-china in the past slowly becoming commie red just as China's relationship blossoms with Russia.
Interesting...
Anything Ukraine loses will be it’s own fault. The animosity Zelensky has for Russia will be Ukraines undoing. Hate never is a good strategy in the end. Sitting down and talking with people you dislike on behalf of the people you represent takes ten times the Man Zelensky could ever hope to be
Back channels to avoid humiliations, meeting of putin and xi on the work.
Those guys above are pretty hopeful of their country getting a facelift
I wouldn’t hold my breath for any peace deal. That’s not Zelenskys decision to make.
This is a quote from Dmytro Yarosh, a co-founder of the Right Sector who was then the commander of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army. in 2019 at the time of the interview. The question was regarding why had Right Sector and Azov launched a campaign to block Zelensky’s peace initiative one week after his landslide election win premised on that very peace plan:
Yarosh: “[Zelensky] just needs to understand one truth: Ukrainians cannot be humiliated. Ukrainians, after seven hundred years of colonial slavery, may not yet have fully learned how to build a state. But we learned how to make an uprising very well and remove all those "eagles" who are trying to parasitize on the sweat and blood of Ukrainians. Zelensky said in his inaugural speech that he was ready to lose ratings, popularity, position... No, he would lose his life. He will hang on some tree on Khreshchatyk - if he betrays Ukraine and those people who died in the Revolution and the War.”
That guy who was on camera in Donbas telling Zelensky to his face that they would rather kill him than follow his orders, and later restated it in that interview, is now an official adviser to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi.
Zelensky is closely surrounded by people that are more immediately frightening to him than any prospect of Chinese support to the Russians is.
Again, don’t hold your breath.
Ah yes, because that's exactly what Putler did.
