Newsweek: Head of Crimea Says 'Prepare for War' as Ukraine Seeks to Reclaim Territory
Sergey Aksyonov, the Russian politician acting as head of the Russian-annexed Crimea since 2014, said that the territory should "prepare for war" against Ukraine.
According to Russian state-owned news agency Ria Novosti, Aksyonov's statement was more of a warning than a straight-out declaration of intent.
"God protects the safe. And I always stand in the position: if you want peace, prepare for war," Aksyonov said during an interview with Ria Novosti. "Therefore, we'd better be ready. Both the Crimeans and all of Russia will sleep peacefully in this regard," he added.

No secret that I’m a Russian supporter, what I’m concerned about is Turkey and Hungary all of a sudden supporting sanctions against Russia. What were they threatened with? Chess pieces are being moved here and it’s anybodies guess on what’s coming next.
And why would Ukraine go after a territory with a population that wants nothing to do with it? Let alone a territory that Russia will defend at all costs. This is likely a distraction and I don’t believe Ukraine has the manpower or resources to make a legitimate threat against this region.
Crimea only started becoming majority Russian after WW2. In 1959 Crime was majority Russian for the 1st time.
Deporting people makes it easy to create majorities.
Russia killing their way to majorities like the NAZIs.

If he wants an elite force, you want quality people who want to be warriors and be masters of war. focused only on that. Studying the enemy and his tactics. study his own tactics. And this number one rule of success, never ever do what does not work. repeat success only.
I think it is a pipe dream if you are dragging the gutters and jails for soldiers, and then fill their heads with "ideas" that have nothing to do with competent warfare.
SS had a lot of street thugs. Hitler rising to power in 1933 comes as such a shock to very smart people, smarter than you or me. Really supper smart.
So for those who bother to read, Germany had street fighting for a full decade before Hitler rise to power. It might be shorter to list years, where there was not any fighting after WW1 until Hitler's rise. Street fighting like ANTIFA in 2020.
