I really don't get Mr. Musk's logic here. Based upon my observation about 35% of Americans absolutely despise DJT, another 10% merely dislike him, another 10% are indifferent and wouldn't be opposed to voting for him, another 40% will vote for the Republican nominee whomever it is but do NOT want Trump, and he has about 5% devoted followers and that's shrinking.
When/if an indictment hits, the 10% undecideds will break decisively to the merely dislike and won't vote for him. Those who merely dislike him will break decisively towards despising him and those willing to vote for the Republican nominee regardless who it is will be leas enthusiastic to do so if it's DJT.
