Is The Idea Of A Competency Test For Elderly Politicians ‘Ridiculous’?

First lady Jill Biden dismissed a proposal by Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley

CNN: Jill Biden says the idea of a competency test for elderly politicians is ‘ridiculous’

First lady Jill Biden pushed back on concerns about President Joe Biden’s age and dismissed a proposal by Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley for politicians over age 75 to take a mental competency test.

“Ridiculous,” the first lady said, responding to Haley’s proposal during an interview with CNN, which will air as part of “CNN Primetime: Jill Biden Abroad” at 9 p.m. ET on Monday.

Asked if her husband, who would be 82 at his inauguration if he’s reelected, would consider taking such a test, Jill Biden said, “We would never even discuss something like that.”

Every day he fails even the most basic of competency tests.

I think a basic competency test should be the case for ALL public servants. To weed out visibly insane sociopaths like Adam Schiff and out right narcissists like Pete Buttigieg.

Never happen.

Joe would fail miserably

agree with 203 above. too many loonies in office.

I am not a crackpot.

Peter Buttigieg is insane. He launched an ad hominem attack against Tucker Carlson alleging that Tucker could not tell the difference Of Kohl's from TJ Maxx. I admit I cannot either. It must be important though.

I can however tell the difference between JC Penney and Walmart. I guess I will never be gay, Democrat nor in the Biden administration.

why not competency test for the nutters posting here?

Give them the test!!

what is meant by competency?
Niki simply using the notion to eliminate those older than she is
Is competency IQ
Is competency dementia?
There are stages of dementia
There is a slowing down of many thing with age but does that mean incompetent
Many if not all states have minimum age for drivers license but not for revoking that license by age.
Merely dumping names of those you dislike and calling them incompetent is hardly a medical view but rather a personal view, so why not address the issue of a test rather than spilling your biases?
if you insist on names: is Trump two years after losing the election still claiming he won but was cheated a sign of competency?

Everyone here tracks you PhreD. You come to the same site every day, use the same illogical arguments, use the same vocabulary and then wonder why people know who it is, when you don't use your name.

It would be like an elephant tamping down the same beach day after day and the some noob wondering why people notice it and its tracks.

What is really sad is that stroke victim Fetterman as broader vocabulary than you. What's up with that?

First, Democrats and RINOs (or simply Democrats pretending to be Republicans: e.g. Rod Rosenstein) constantly schemed, day dreamed and discussed using the 25th amendment against Trump.

McCabe rep downplays DOJ discussions on using 25th Amendment to oust Trump

Now, we have someone, who can't complete sentences, needs index cards to get through a few minutes on stage and worse. Joe Biden sets new lows for number of press conference by an American president.

You really are some kind of special PhreD. You are so special that I wonder often whether someone is using the name as a form of identity theft, because I keep telling myself that no one could be as stupid as you. It is just unreal how illogical you are.

* We have competency test every day in America for trials.

* We have people who become wards of the court because they cannot take care of their daily business.

* We have competency test in math (middle school level) and/or mechanical aptitude for entry level factory jobs.

We have all these competency test for every day folk and for Donald Trump, but never ever have one for a Democrat elected official. That is beyond the pale.

They literally put Joe Biden in a MRI machine (or use PET) and map the destruction of his brain. But Democrats using him as a front man so you can control the executive branch is more important.

You do have morals. They are low, low, low.

I used the following search terms in Google (Using google for the 1st time today.)

25th amendment
Trump
DOJ
-McCabe

THE FUCKING 1ST TIME TODAY

I got back the following:

Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer
network. This page checks to see if it's really you sending the
requests, and not a robot. Why did this happen?

I could not remember Rod Rosenstein's name, My 1st search in another search engine brought up nothing but McCabe results. I find that search engine hard to use because the query terms are like nonexistent. So I switched to google.

... and came up against BIG BROTHER.

"There are stages of dementia"

Looks like someone is throwing everything up against the wall to see if something stick.
So Mt illogical there with up there. Is Mr. Illogical okay with someone having stage IV and being president? The reader doesn't know, because the author is spraying stuff out there like from a blunderbuss. It looks like another shit and scoot. Another drive by commenting of inane crap.

I would prefer a constitution test of all politicians with a strong emphasis on the original purposes of the bill of rights.

I can dream can't I.

Ron,

In my state taking a co0nstitutional test is a requirement to graduate from high school and college. So if you are 22, you have taken a test about the constitution twice in 6 years.

It is like firing phasers and the report back is "No Effect!"

Party Affiliation seems more important than application of the constitution.

why is it stalker can only make comments about someone commenting and are unable to address the issue of the post?
they are low egos, bad background and are friendless and so imagine by insulting someone they are joining some club of misfits and will get their approval as a newbie
try again, dickless

Is that the best you got? I addressed the topic of WNU's post but rebutting your partisan, hack comments. I also made a comment that had noting to do with your inane comments before you posted for the first time.

But you are always noticeable when you post. Noticing your writing style is as easy a noticing the lagoon of a cattle feed lot as you drive by on the interstate.

then tell me what you object to in my post that you did not comment on but badmouthed the writer instead.
try this:
should there be a competency test yes/no
2. by competency do you mean cognition and IQ or just cognition?
3. who is to judge?
4. if it is a matter of age, should there be a test of that kind for Supreme Court appointees and all elected officials.
5. If not to the above, why not?
6. do you give the exam, ie test, before a candidate is elected to weed him or her out or wait till the person is to enter office...and then, what do you do at that point if the person fails the test.
(now can you answer without reference to the writer of this set of questions)

I asked questions first buddy. You never answered a one of the,

"Is Mr. Illogical okay with someone having stage IV and being president?"

I wrote:
"They [can] literally put Joe Biden in a MRI machine (or use PET) and map the destruction of his brain. But Democrats using him as a front man so you can control the executive branch is more important."

That is it can be proven how much damage Biden ahs already. There is no evidence of this sort, because they refuse to look.

There are his note cards for everything.

Do we really need a test? Not really. Not if people use the 25th Amendment as it was meant to be used. But the 25th Amendment has been weaponized. Rod Rosenstein tried to use the 25th Amendment as part of a coup. Subsequently, Kamala, Klain and others should use it but refuse.

I do not expect a coherent nor honest reply from you. You are neither intelligent nor moral. In fact, I think your job, your real job, is to troll.

For my part, F no. Why? Duty requires National leaders to be 100% effective. This is not supposed to be grandpa at tue nursing home. There is a much higher standard here. Think about it. That demented old man Joe is responsible for every man, woman and child in the USA.
